  1. You said you have been waiting for this rep for very long time ... Can I ask you how long and who is the collector?
  2. Ehi Ubi, when you will discern the difference, please tell us all!
  3. Welcome back, you and all the things you have always brought to this forum
  4. Definitely too big for my 17 cm wrist!
  5. Hi Alextor, in the auction it is stated that they are refilled with aged tritium as per market demand ... Do you know if these acrylic pearls could be filled with some non aged tritium or SL? I am working on a project for a new looking vintage ... Thanks
  6. Here it is.. picture is from Bert, not mine. What do you think?
  7. Hi Tribal, I can't compete with you on this, but I had some personal experience of a too "greenish pearl" from ofrei vintage (5513 ...) insert while the watchmaterial looks definitely closer (I would say identical!) to my brother's genuine GW. Maybe pearls can vary one from another?
  8. Otto Frei? I'd go for a Watchmaterial, definitely closer to the gen
  9. Wow! Those are monster watches!!!! Can I ask you what is your wrist size?
  10. I think water resistance is not standard across the rep production, even from the same factory. You can find (as I did) both water resistant and ready to swim and completely permeable watches! In my little experience I found that the most famous diver's reps (Sea Dweller, Planet Ocean, ...) probably due to "gadgets" like He-valves ... are less resistant compared to more simple pieces. The best suggestion: seal He valve appropriately, tighten properly the caseback and crown and ... check your rep resitance before washing hands.
  11. I feel for you Dave! This can happen even if the dog is leashed, and this is exactly what happened to my mother and our Maltese baby...the car could have hit my mother too! It's a kind of a destiny, and YES you will meet her again!
  12. Yes .... I had the same doubt about the glue ... but no doubt that Frank will fix it
  13. So sorry for this Rob! The best wishes for a super fast recovery: I am afraid poor Jennifer had a bad day too
  14. I would say you are right ... not so easy to swap the movement for the reasons you said!
  15. I remember all the long posts where you asked to VOTE for the preferred combo ... and you were surprised when majority of the members voted for the black! It is classy, sporty and even if black I would say that the insert is totally different from that of the sub and so the overall feeling of the watch! I know that you prefer the red/ blue and black/ red, but being such a GMT lover no doubt that you would have looked at the black with a loving eye One question: you say you swap the insert, but you mean you swap the bezel, is it true? Otherwise I would mind that the insert can be damaged ...
  16. For all the members coming from old RWG1 Gran and Neil himself are .... assets! No wonder Gran is wondering why TTK doesn't post again here. Many of us are members at RG as well but ... this place is different. I am not a top poster, I have a little time to post even if I would like to do it much more and more frequently. Let me say welcome back Gran! And .... why don't we give another chance to TTK? Admin?
  17. It happens all the time. I have acquired two gen Rolex's that way. Wow I never thought of that before. I must still learn something But from people you know, i guess ...
  18. Fantastic! You said Eurotimez has a 93150 with 580 for sale? Damn I would be interested in this! Great project, can't wait for pictures!
  19. Sporty but classy: can't go wrong!
  20. I wish you the victory you deserve: which is the prize? Fantastic shot!
  21. Wow, mate, you start from the heart: can I ask you how you intend to continue it?

  23. Agree ... not nice replicas of this watch, which is really one of the nicest chronos ever made IMO. Hard to live with a moonwatch without domed plastic crystal!
