  1. Take a good hard look at the two gens in my post. It's hard to see the difference in the He valve and I wear either without it bugging me. All in all, I think it's a great rep with a few mods. Read Toads review.
  2. Here's a comparison of a Black dial gen and my modded EuroTimez with ETA 7750 with correct date, gen hands, and double AR. I'd like a new dial but just can't justify the $300+ for it. I placed the hands you can see the flaws in the dial. the must have for me is the correct length hands and that includes the sub hands. They are all slightly longer on the new models. Honestly, I really don't notice the dial when I'm wearing it.
  3. DBR, Thanks very much. I was just starting to remove the caseback and this saves me the work. I'll definitely go with the 48. In fact I went with the 48 on my 188 and it looks great. Any idea where I can get a LH crown guard? Jim
  4. If we don't get an answer I'll pull it out this weekend and measure it. I haven't seen 192's with mods in a long time. Jim
  5. I need the stem size for the hand wind Lemania Asian movement. Does it take a T48 or T 60 crown - .09 or 1.2 Anybody? Thanks.
  6. I'm betting you could get $400 for that old skool case in a New York second. Just try Rep Geek. They seem to be really into Pam mods.
  7. tech, I agree with you - but now I want both of them as they each have an element to them I really like a lot. Thanks for all the assistance on what to look for in a watch. Jim
  8. That is really a nice watch. How is the magnification on the cyclops close to gen and how about the font on the date wheel? Thanks, Jim
  9. That is one very accurate watch - the 39mm. I just tried a gen last week and from your photos see nothing strange on your rep. Jim
  10. Oncyte, Thanks for the thoughts. You're collection is wonderful. Where did you source that rough out or suede strap? Jim
  11. Kruzer, Thanks for the information. I'm working my way into what I need to do - as in - be careful when I wear it! Jim
  12. Siesta, thanks for the information. I can swap out the movement if the hands from the 2836 fit. I doubt the GMT hand will fit. If I remember correctly they are smaller. Does anyone know about hand fit or can I get gen hands? Jim
  13. Thanks for the info R as these are the things that will help me make my decision. Anyone else? Jim
  14. I'm getting some feedback to go with the 029. What mods do I need to do to make it close? Jim
  15. Well, I'm in the market for a Pam GMT and like the 029 & 063. Which model is closest out of the box and what mods do I need to do to make it right? My single experience with mods to a Pam is my Swiss 7753 188 from River. I added a Lello date wheel,a Palp Crown and double AR. After reading various posts It seems there are lots of mods for either the 063 or the 029. Where do I buy and where do I start the mods? Thanks, Jim
  16. Gioarmani, Thanks for hooking me up. I've been looking for a fair price. Jim
  17. Why do they call it the Alaska project? That reminds me - When was the last time a Canadian Hockey team won The Stanley Cup?
  18. The seller stated in an email to me that all of his cases are genuine and this was one as well. Does anyone know who is selling box sets from China? I need a couple. Jim
  19. Very nice combination. Is that clasp comfortable?
  20. The seller claims this is a gen case. Omega Case I note that he has other "Gen" cases for sale such as Glashutte that seem identical in design. I've never seen any of them and neither has my AD. Anybody care to comment?
