  1. Lani, It's great to see you back and great that you're on the mend. You know we're still waiting in Seattle for you to get sick of the sun and head up. The ghost of Henry's Off Broadway is waiting......... Looks like Bill was looking out for you. :showoff: Jim
  2. Thanks for all the work you do to keep us tops!!
  3. k, that's a great watch. Don't forget Ballard Seafood Fest is this weekend! the jimster in ballard
  4. Geneve's usually go for about $300 depending on the model. Search the bay as recently there have been quite a few. They made some very unusual cases in the 70's like Disco watches.
  5. pollux1, Thanks so much for the assistance and everyone else as well. This will give my friend a start. Please keep the suggestions coming. Best, Jim
  6. Well I never thought I'd say it but after seeing the bezel on your watch I've got to get one for mine. I always kept fooling around with the pearl but this does it. I've got the rest but just didn't want to spend the last $$. Jim
  7. Sixx, Thanks very much. It's this kind of help that makes the new home so much easier to deal with during those "settling in" days. Cheers, Jim
  8. Excellent! I'm down in Olympia about every other month. So, you can get your phone unlocked by AT&T and then just buy a prepaid Sim card in Ireland put it in your phone and you're good to go? Will the phone work calling to the US as well?
  9. Greetings, One of my friends is going to school this fall in Galway. She's never been to Ireland and is in need of a cell phone. Here's her list of questions. Any help would be appreciated. -inexpensive -about 250-300 minutes a month (roll over minutes if possible) -free calls in Ireland to Ireland (It would be great if it could also cover more of Europe) -strong signal in most areas -low cost for international calls (I won't make many due to all the easy internet options, but less than $.99 a min would be great for when I'm not by a computer and have to make a call!) -unlimited texting Do they use sim cards there? If so, can I have the sim card shipped to me here so once I get over there I can just put it in my current phone and have it working when I get off the plane? Do I need a whole new phone? Is it possible to have whatever I need (phone, sim card, etc.) shipped to me here so that I have it with me and in working order when I get off the plane in Ireland? Thanks in advance for helping out. Jim Seattle
  10. A Bergeon hand tool make it easier. Try the set #7404. I just finished my 42 PO with a gen dial, hands, and a work over on the pearl. The pearl isn't gen but close. I'll post some pics when I get back to my office. Jim
  11. freddy, Agreed 100% and even the incorrect hand stack is impossible to notice unless you get the watch right up to your nose. jim
  12. Here's a link to a great watch strap: Hirsch The Gold is a perfect match for the Orange Bezel. I've got the Orange and two black ones. The black ones are also on eBay for $69.95.
  13. I need a black 42mm insert. What's the story? Jim
  14. UBI, care to share your source with members? Hmmmm. perhaps post in Platinum section - another member benefit!
  15. I think Sharon has the hands in stock. Better hurry. Omega just raised their prices on some parts. Jim
  16. Does anyone know if the King Monaco case will fit a gen dial? If so, case and mvt could be possible depending on pusher spacing. Franken time!
  17. And he didn't even like the watch. Check out his favorite watch: Lot 416. Julian pegged this Rolex at $20K and two guys got into a bidding war and oops! The McQueen Items
  18. The best out there is for sale: Railmaster and Seamaster
  19. Just for the fun of it - here's a comparison to another Cosmic. I also have the day/date with cream dial. Omega made some other dials as well. Jim
  20. The Cosmic 2000 60m/200ft. is a great desk diver. If I recall correctly 38mm with a screw down crown. I have about 3 different models but only one with the 60m. I think they are powered by a 1012 movement. WARNING, this Omega case requires an Omega case tool for the 3 piece case and will not come apart easily. You can't even get the crystal off without one. The Chuck Maddox site has information on them. Congrats on a fine watch! Jim
  21. This guy is a total fraud. I just reported him to iOffer. I won't use iOffer unless I can verify the person and they are in the US with a number I can verify. That being said I did buy a closed factory SM300 on iOffer from Angela in the US but not without an extreme amount of hassle and she scammed HD if I remember right. Take a look at one of the watches he grabbed from a guy in HK:Speedy Don't those photos look familiar?
  22. Have you seen this guys other items? A PP 2913 with a lollipop sweep. This guy has a collection. Jim
  23. HD, That's a beautiful pair. I love the proper HE placements on the closed factory. A sharp WIS will spot that straight away. BTW, I'm shipping to you tomorrow. Jim
  24. Here's a quick shot and one of a gen: I've got to get a gen dial. Those curly toes are starting to bother me!
