If I understand correctly Sellita was started by ex employees of ETA. I have corresponded with them regarding sales but have not reached an agreement on pricing. The people I have corresponded with don't speak English and only responded to me when I wrote them in French.
They are supposed to come out with a 2983-2 movement clone but I haven't heard back from them.
I wanted to post this photo as this watch recently was sold by Antiquorum from the original owner. Nothing on this watch was changed the entire time he owned it.
The watch sold for just over $19,000 including buyers premium.
Take a look at the dial detail especially the subdial outer edges. I think DW is very close on his spacing.
What do you think?
Hey Big Monkey,
You're in and now the proud owner of a Hermes "H" belt, box, bag, and card!
A first poster helping out! This is like the old boards!!
I'll mail your belt USPS Priority Mail on Monday.
Thanks for stepping up and helping out the board. You rock!
Jim
In an attempt to encourage a little revenue to help pay the rent I'm offering a New Hermes belt to the first person that upgrades their membership to a VIP or from a VIP to Platinum.
I ended by with a beautiful Hermes "H" buckle and reversible belt - black on one side and tan shiny croc on the other. It's too small for me and with the Holidays I won't come back to smaller.
The belt measures 31" from buckle to center hole.
I'll pay the shipping in the US or you pay international shipping.
The first person to send me proof of upgrade after the date and time of this post gets the belt.
Now let's pay the rent!
Wow with the original bezel you have a real piece of history.
I know you're interested in value. Do a search on Antiquorum. If I remember correctly two have sold this year and I think one is up on Saturday in Geneva.
I'm returning to finish an MBW 1165 DR and wondering if there exists a silver date wheel for the ETA movement.
I've been using an UBI overlay but would like to go to silver. I just worked on a gen 1665 and the silver is so much nicer. The white back just doesn't do it for me.
Thanks,
Jim
