Nice clean-up. I see more and more watches in this condition where the owner went to the dealer and was told $600 for a cleaning plus parts = over a $1,000. They just turn around and keep the watch until it quits.
It's ready for years to come. Do you know how well it was keeping time?
And VRF complains about reps? Where will it end? Recently my uncle the ex vice premier of a small African country came across a large amount of vintage Rolex watches in the safe that he was robbing. Simply send me your financial information........
i can see the emails starting now....
So, it's a gen but not a numbers match watch. This happens in vintage auto work all the time. If it's a numbers matched it brings more money but no one complains about the aftermarket parts on a collector car or the fact that the engine (movement) is not gen to the car.
it just commands a lower price.
You should get the Yuki hands and use them with the DW chrono hands. That is a very close match to gen with the exception of the Sweep length. If I recall an Omega Flightmaster sweep might be the right length.
I'm starting a 9411 build and would like to know the lengths of gen Snowflake hands. I'm seeing some that look too long. Does anyone have those numbers?
Thanks,
I normally use Firefox and it doesn't show in white outline; simply a dark area. i'm writing this post using Google and it shows fine. Does anyone else notice that problem?
Thanks for the help.
