  1. sorry DP
  2. Yes.. UBI .. but your Daytona's are in their "own" league .... *sigh*...... look at those bezels !!!!! needless to say.. dials..
  3. Well, let me guess who's doing the artistry; and only one person can do what equates to moving a building to another dimension .. look forward to seeing the final My take on the bracelet.. I ordered a gator strap.. If I'm going to keep this piece .. the only way it'll work for me is with a leather or gator strap... I'm not into hip-hop clothing Look forward to seeing the finished piece W..
  4. Wish you would of read that part in the write up I did T. .... my Breigtling Bentely did that a couple of years ago.. so I alway's check now.. and when I did check the AP sure nuff it was loose.. your local watch smith should have a generic part to fit in there..or worse case senario.. there are a lot of "bead shops"... they have tiny metal beads that will fit in place of the rivet .. try your local WS .. Good luck R
  5. I transplanted one dial and the A7750 from the newer daytona with more correct dial and 28.8k to the 1st generation caseset.. the more correct thinner caseset ... now this daytona and the vintage Newman Daytona .. both had issues .. the Newman (can never remember the numbers) .. was 60 min fast every 12 hours.. something was crimped in the mainspring area .. and it needed regulating badly .. I was told the lever to regulate on the A7750 is only good for 15 to 20 seconds.. yet when I played with it over the next 2 day's the movement is now running spot on with my blackberry.. with this daytona.. the movement would stop every 2 hours .. after I transplanted it.. what I found was the area next to the mainspring was too tight against the case.. conclusion would be that the defect could be poor assembly around the mainspring.. or poor quality in build around that area, it was the same problem with the Newman.. but that has been running great..(knock on wood).. it's been running fine since then..
  6. Same Daytona that is on the Platinum Raffle
  7. OH>>OH..... Her Magisties Customs officials have very nice collections NAH>>> what freddy said is probably the correct answer..
  8. Coooool !!!! how bout a tat of the coronet .... on the neck .. maybe not..
  9. Man.. I just dig starched stiff like a board cuffs..!!! and the bracelet is da bomb brah !!! great match HB !!
  10. Hey R I would agree with everyone.. the risk is minimal.. the wait for transfer is a long one though .. that is probablyu for checks and balances.. it's a good thing..you have no negative history with ebay which "is" paypal ... so I would not stress... if the monies has been there for a while that's a good sign and not a red flag for PP.. btw.. sending a pm.. when your free of exams.. get in touch.. aloha R
  11. Hey JZ .... I like the part about "a few more"...hehe .... Welcome to the OBSESSION ... You have entered a place that has no limits.!!!! start anywhere you find right ... cause there is NO END!!!!! Aloha~Cheers Lani
  12. Is it a better movement in the IHS or a more problematic mod kit in the CHS ???
  13. the law only applies to resale items... the hide comes from Louisiana .. to Asia .. it cannot be "resold" back to the USA without the proper CITIES certificate from the Govt. in which the sale is coming from ... this does not apply to what you are wearing for personal use.. the wholesale or retail market is what it applies to.. Elephant hide .. forget it,... this is serious .. as well it should be..
  14. Which rep is it ?? there are "fake" tint AR's that some rep sites have on the net... really horrible looking tint ..not AR but tint... check out CT's crystal after AR.. it seems not to have a crystal on the caseset at all !!! quite amazing actually... if it's an auto movement .. easier still to remove the crystal.. if I can do it .. anyone can, and you can get a really affordable crystal press for 25 to 30 usd.. just remember to get the nylon dies..
  15. one of my PO's has this isue .. so I figure it must be the crystal seated improperly .. but if all the reps have this issue .. couldn't be improper crytal press on all of them ?? I use "Shoe Goo" on all my bezel inserts.. same thing they use to glue athletic shoes... stay's "gummy " does not fall off and can be removed just as easily as the tape..
  16. Some friendly advice.. Chieftang ..... Chieftang....chieftang......CT>>>CT>>>>>CT anymore questions ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? it is not a paint on.. rub on .. spit on... glue on or spray on.. it is high tech ..... anymore questions ??????????????????????????
  17. thank you ST !!.... it came from Ubi's collection .. and the trans was as smooooth as glass.. I am sooo enjoying viewing the tourbi in it's cage...
  18. From Colorado to the Pacific .... I'm taking *GGGG* of the Tourbi .. it has found a New Home .. very relaxing to watch it spin Mahalo Ubi !!
  19. Lookin Good T !!!.. Live Strong and Wear them Well !! Aloha R
  20. .. you guy's got it ... bbaaaaaadd .. you would of had to have taken a loupe or magnifier.. (like I just did) to find this.. so i't good to know that I'm not the only one who tries to stare away this stuff.. I've resest the bezel insert.. so it's not glue under the insert.. there are 3 pins though.. Now, for me to say.. "just don't think about it" .. would be tantamont to the Queen wearing spandex... so you just haaaaaadd... to bring this up.. I was experiencing Nirvana with this rep .. ya had to huh ? .... ya just couldn't help it huh? I think I'm putting on my 1665 DRSD .. i got back.. lighting some Black spice candles.. and chanting...oooOOOOMMMHHHhhh....
  21. Niko .. perhaps you should look up past "history" or discussions or ask some of the members on this thread.. "ALL" have been through all the reps for a good long time.. the movement issues related to the dial (it could have something to do with the layout of the Date Window or Subs) Kruzer has been through every obstacle in searching for the perfect Pam (want to say 189) Submersible ... and has sacrificed a lot to attempt to find the correct "everything" when using alternative movements it is not always "black and white" .. there are many "grey" areas that have to be compromised Look at what members were paying for MBK's with incorrect subs.. at the time it was accepted.. for those who choose to purchase it.. If you are looking for a "perfect" copy .. as all of us are ... you should not be overly disappointed at minor flaws ... this is the nature of the "beast"... there are a lot of legal battles going on behind the lines.. one was with the Swiss Federation and another with the CEO of HBB.. So who's to say the the "little" flaws are not put there knowingly ?? Those members who have "accepted" the FACT that the reps are much better now and discuss means and availability of "Modding" the dials .. hands.. .. getting the AR coat done... have come to terms with our "Hobby".. it would be much less frustrating to just go out and buy a genuine.. but I like most members enjoy the "search" for "building" the perfect rep.. Check out the vintage Rolexes.. and you will find members who put just as much $$ into genuine vintage parts than a new genuine would cost... this hobby is a labour of love.. When I am having a really sh1tty day .. and go through the gauntlet of emotions... I look down at my Ziggified vintage 1665.. or what ever I choose to wear.. and like a kid I crack a big smile and say .... "this to shall pass" A hobby is supposed to bring enjoyment and comfort... fulfillment.... that is the key to finding enjoyment with this crazy obsession of ours.. so after you have been here for a while you will see what I am saying.. but experience is the key.. so stay long enough to where you can start feeling the love for these reps.. and not just the material excitement.. and you will meet great people along the way !!! As I have.. It also concerns me that for a new member.. you are using the word ."cartel" .. looks like you have been PM'd by certain members .... be careful who you follow Niko.. stick with the winners man.. they are all on your thread and in every section.. main thing to do is "learn" first.. before you address collectors like this.. Just some info for you to digest.. or leave alone.. up to u aloha R
  22. Welcome Aspartam Go big or Go Home..... Way to go !!!! Have fun man Aloha Lani
