I think the smaller size is OK since it's a dress watch, it's still 44mm at the lugs.
Didn't you have the new Seatimer for a while? Why did you let that one go?
About a 4:1 ratio of water to oxyclean. Put the water, oxyclean, and disassembled watch (removed the movement and crystal) and kept on low heat on the stove - ie, at 1 out of 8 on the stove dial. Kept it there for an hour, stirring every 10 mins. Here's another shot:
Hmm, I guess I feel pretty good then about getting my 3717 double AR coated by Chieftang, it's really a spectacular rep now. Plus, mine has the high beat 28.8k movement, which sweeps very smoothly, much more so than the old 21k movement.
So, if you guys haven't gotten in on a Chieftang AR run, DO IT
It's a natural Wojteki strap, starts out as off-white to very light tan, but over time (and with some mink oil applied), you get that look. It's a great strap.
My only one involves one time I got a new 112 and I already had a 111h, and for grins I was wearing one on each wrist to compare how the looked on me. Got busy doing something else, forgot I had on 2 watches & went out to run some errands. Got back & realized everyone around town where I was at must have thought I was some kind of nutcase wearing an "identical" oversized watch on each wrist
I wish I had my Steelfish, it's back with Josh to sort out a date change problem (date changes at 6 instead of 12). At least I got a wrist shot before sending it back:
They glitter very well when the light hits them. But one thing to realize is that they are set in the bezel so that the bottoms of them are recessed, so they are quite a bit more subtle than on some other watches. I have the CZ version. Also the grey dial with black subdials looks great on a gen gator strap:
I've got non-bling breits (2 Navi's and a SS GT), a few 2 tones (Another GT and a white dial Evo), so I decided one with diamonds might be a nice "occasional" watch. Personally I think it is stunning:
They are indeed increasing prices and reducing supply. Combined with good advertising and good name recognition, it seems that Omega is poised to be the next Rolex (at least in the public's mind).
Hell yeah! We need a kick @ss rep that has a square case. I'd buy any/all reps based on some type of ETA movement (2824, etc). Probably one in gold and one in SS.
