The Serpico would have been nice for the double-takes, but the NDT is clearly the better replication. If you can spare the extra cash, go with that one.
The end justifies the means!
Congratulations, Stefan! I've wanted a'57 Reissue ever since... oh, about 5 seconds after buying my 3570.50. I've been looking at them a lot more often in the past few months, but I'm biding my time...
It will look really good on brown leather, too!
Thanks, guys! And, yeah, I think the texture on the dial is what really lets my Sub blend in with all those gens. Big, big thumbs up to C and all the dials he destroyed to get to this result!
Reading this thread strangely reminded me of the Taco Bell near Ft Lewis, just off the I-5. That place was a destroyer of stomachs...
But where are my manners? Welcome to RWG!
From my notes (hour/minute/sweep/subdials, in mm):
ST19: 1.4/0.95/0.28/0.255
For reference, a 7750 is 2.0/1.2/0.25/0.20
I've no idea what you can use as substitutes.
I emailed DW a few weeks ago, and he says that "the factory" had finished the plastic bezel, but that the quality was so poor that he couldn't sell it.
["Too poor even for DW?" say the snarky guys.]
Ideally, I would like to have a gray-dialed 7031, and a black-dialed 7032. I love contrast.
