Inner bezel? You mean the markings on the dial? No I don't think so. I just like the aged tritium look, but I do want the dial to look someone decent (like it was well protected under that acrylic crystal) Still need some mounting screws for the movement. Does anyone know what size screws the 7734 takes and where I might find a couple?
Send it to me and I'll swap it out for you Even better....send me that and the old movement and I'll use the 4th wheel from the ETA movement that did work
It's an assortment of metal shavings and bits from a lathe. It's a variety of brass, hardened steel, stainless steel and aluminum. When shaken in the case, it takes away some of that new shine and scratches up the case quite nicely
I also used it on the crystal. I put a protective sticker on the underneath side and then shook it in the shavings jar Looks just perfectly aged
Hey R.... any idea on the thread size for the screws that hold down the movement tabs? I have the tabs, but my collection of screws are all for ETA movements. Also any idea on a source?
Getting a little further I'm still waiting on the 0.90 Stem so no more hand setting today unfortunately. Got the DW chrono hands paint stripped and then mounted.
Got the bezel brushed....
And now for the famous JMB case aging trick
Wow.... such perfect timing for a comparison as I age my case and brush the bezel! Thanks for that! Too bad it would be nearly impossible to reshape the DW case CG's to get that subtle angle
Such a great Tudor day today!!! A fantastic review of a great looking Monte Carlo and some amazing Tudors in the wristies section today too!
