  2. Looks awesome K! And I can't think of a better gift to give your dad! BTW - the 105mm looks like it's getting some good use! Some awesome pics!!
  3. Yeah that 30 is quite nasty isn't it? I wonder what the story is with that?
  4. As some of you know, I am a huge Tudor fan. Of course, my collection would not be complete without a Monte Carlo in it. When DW came out with the 7032 case set I decided to go for it. I found a 7734 that was in horrible shape (and missing many pieces) but it had a stunning date wheel on it. I also found a nice little Zodiac watch with a 7733. I sent those movements up to the great north to the master for a complete rebuild and service. Additionally, he re-lumed the DW dial & hands with the vintage tritium mix. I must say - it looks pretty darn nice Here's some pics so far: I have a 7836 bracelet from Mary, but I am missing the 358 endlinks so I will have to wait on those. I am going to age the case I think as well as lightly brush the bezel for that "gen like" look. Unfortunately, I was unable to find all of the parts I needed to do the 45 minute conversion, but since I am not a big user of chrono's, I think it will be fine for now.
  5. Yeah just a little quicky point & shoot shot. Still a nicely faded blue
  6. Back from service and so a little bump for the Tudor

  15. What's the story with that collection? Pretty sweet!
  16. Nice find Pugwash! Thanks for sharing that
  17. Well fortunately, the 2824 is very very similar to the 2836, especially in the keyless works so you should be good there. I have a few 2846's to play with so I will be checking them out as well to see what the differences are. As for the 2873, that is a whole different matter. Haven't had a good look at one of those - YET!
  18. Well first successful repair. Took a movement that had most of the drive train missing and removed the auto winding mechanism off of it. Transplanted that to my wife's new Rolex Turn-O-Graph that i built for her and it works like a champ!
  19. Nicely done! Did those screwdrivers come in handy for that?
  20. Looks like I'm going to be a little busy for a while They look to be in good shape and I will definitely be able to make a few working movements out of this lot for sure! The slow beat 2846's look good
  21. Very cool J! Nicely done! At least you have a consistent way to do the insides now!!
  22. Some amazing pics Pug! Handheld or are you on a tripod with these?
  23. I have a polar RS300X that is great.
