  1. If it's being offered by a local dealer, I would definitely ask for more pictures and have them open the caseback up and take some pictures of the movement.
  2. There's 10 ETA 2824 w/2020 modules for sale on the bay right now for $280.00 each. ($2,800 for the package) Almost all of the Breitling movements are actually either an ETA 2824 with a Dubois Depraz 2020 chrono module for the 6 - 9 - 12 configurations or an ETA 2892-A2's with a Dubois-Depraz 2021 3 - 6 - 9 chrono module attached to it for a running seconds at 3 chrono movement. (been looking for one for a really long time so I've been doing some research )
  3. Nice!!!! A very clean example of a classic watch. Well done!
  4. "The Holiest of Holy Watch Meccas!" ~Classic "Their Moderators are amongst the most intelligent people that walk the earth!" So glad we don't have any "Ass Monkey Moderators" here
  5. Great pictorial review! Well done and great looking 111J!!
  6. And I noticed, unlike RWG, they do not have an RWG room for scenarios such as this.
  7. Ahhhh.....home sweet home! It's good to be back
  8. Can anyone tell me a) if a gasket is needed/used between the crown and case for a 112h, and where I would get one? I have taken some pics of my case disassembled and a close up of the crown itself. Is it me, or should I need another rubber gasket? Basically the crown doesn't feel like it seals up properly to the case. Also, the CG is not even applying any pressure so i am trying to determine if I need to move the crown away from the case, or file down the CG feet to bring it closer to the case. Advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  9. All signs of an amazing GTG Andy!!!
  10. I'm sure Admin will sort this all out for you guys. He is aware of the issues regarding the automatic payment renewal and in fact did a post about it a while back which you can find here
  11. TJ, I realize it might be difficult for some members depending on their location, but this where GTG's come in really handy. It's a great opportunity to meet other members as well as "test" out different watches When I went to Toronto and met with Toadtorrent and Andreww I got an opportunity to try on Andreww's Navitimer and I fell in love with it. I couldn't stand the look of it before based on the pictures I had seen, but in person it is a marvelous watch.
  12. Hmmm....tough one, but here goes. If a Tudor Heritage Chrono comes out that is decent (and not quartz) then I will definitely go for one of those. I also quite like that new B&R Aviation, but I am still waiting for a review on it. I also will probably go for the new BK TW Sub offering. Looks to good to pass up.
  13. Yeah I have to agree with most here. The final result is pretty poor (especially after 10 hours!) However, the initial setup was interesting to watch. I quite enjoyed seeing how much of a difference a small shift in the lighting would make in the spectral highlights on the watch itself.
  14. There used to be a "pass around watch" but it got abused as well, unfortunately. I think it's a great idea personally, unfortunately there are always those who will mess it up for everyone else. I trust you TeeJay....if you want to borrow one of my watches, you are welcome to!
  15. Happy New Year RWG from Los Angeles!!!
  16. That's a great looking Tudor! Well done!!! Love the faded blue insert!! That folded link bracelet looks to be in great shape!!!
  17. I just wanted to take a moment, on my last day as Rookie of the Year to say a huge heartfelt thanks to all my new found friends on RWG! You guys have all helped to make this such a great place and such a warm and inviting community and I am proud to call RWG my home. This has been an incredible year for me. Some amazing watches have come my way and also gone. I've met some great friends here. I got a rare opportunity to hang out with Ubi at Disneyland and see the amazing 5514 that he built. And, in spite of a very sad time with my grandfather passing, I got invited to be a member of the Admin Team. Couldn't have asked for a more incredible journey, and you were all here with me. So with that I say thank you and I wish you all the best for 2011 I thought I would paste in the banner here just to keep it as a memento
  18. Great idea Andy and thanks to Admin for the Server Rent tool! Great idea guys!!!
  19. $24.90 sent to round up the total $30.00 to go!
  20. Some nice work coming out of the Chiman's shop there! Very, very cool!
  21. OMG I spent so many endless hours playing that game, and I could never, ever figure out what I was supposed to do with those stupid puzzle pieces!! It was fun, and infuriating all at the same time! My all time favorite was Jumpan and Jumpman Jr. Loved those games! And the 8 bit, three voice SID (Sound Chip) on those things was so amazing sounding!
  22. That is awesome! I love it!!!! Too bad they didn't make a mac version. I wonder if I could "hackintosh" it?
