Ok. So now that I have everything pulled apart, the next question is: how to remove the stem? I see a very small hole immediately to the left of the stem on the side of the movement, or a small screw to the right on the bottom of the movement. My guess is I turn the small screw to the right, and unscrew it to loosen the stem?
I await the experts
Here's some pics:
Justasgood was nice enough to loan me his wonderful Crystal Removal Tool, but there isn't much of a lip to grab onto on the side of the crystal and it keeps slipping off. It starts to grab it and I am able to turn the crystal in the case, but as soon as I tighten up the tool just a little bit more, it slips off.
Any tips/tricks??
The last studio I worked at we had a Hi-Fi room that we used to demo equipment. It was so much fun! It got a little excessive when we started playing with cabling, but it was still fun. The $1,500 power cords were kind of a joke I have to say!
My favorite setup was the B&W Nautilus 801's with the Aragon Paladium IK mono-block amps with a custom set of speakers cables that I had made several years ago. I brought in my older Parasound DAC-2000 and hooked it up to a California Audio Labs CD Transport. We had a really nice custom stepped attenuator for level control between the DAC-2000 and the Mono Block amps.
That was a fun weekend
I was wondering the exact same thing. There were 5 sales staff in the store and I was the only shopper. A lot of Omega's (and a whole lot of really hideous, over the top, blingy ones!)
There is a new Omega AD here in Los Angeles at a local mall and I asked to see the Liquid Metal. "Oh, sorry sir. That watch is only being made in very limited numbers and we do not have one in at the moment. We would be happy to order one for you."
Limited Numbers? As limited as the Official Omega AD's??? I don't think I have ever seen an Omega only store before (not that I am an expert by any means!)
It sure looks nice in the pictures though! Too bad it was so underwhelming.
Unless he is wearing all three at the same time, that does seem just a tad bit silly! But then again, if you have the money I guess you can do whatever you like right?
Its interesting, but it seems as though he has the 5512 and 5513 reversed. Perhaps I am mistaken, but I always under the impression that the 5512 was meters first and the 5513 was feet first?
At least you live in an area that requires a basement due to the frost line. People here in LA look at me weird when I mention how nice it is to have basements I guess they don't do well here in earthquake country
Sorry about your day krpster. That really sucks. Dry yourself (and posessions) off and have a nice, stiff drink
