Alright then, now I'm a bit confused. First you say you have no idea what it is, then you say that you have some Sead/Nembo ones which are "embarrassingly thinner" ??? Agreed, the lever looks very depressed, which leads me to think it is not a Sead/Nembo, as I've never seen that fault on any of theirs. By the way, I don't make any ToroBravo comparison, as I don't have one. I will however look at both threads (unregistered and mattusss on RG) that compare them all, as I don't recall either thread remarking that the Sead/Nembo was much too thin. In fact, if I recall correctly, the measured comparisons showed the LH as being a little too thick, while the SN was just a little too thin (but nothing major). And given the $130, or so, price diff. ....

I think you're all just jealous that you didn't end up winning my bootiful watch. I had one of my colleagues, who works in the DNA lab, test some of the sweat from the case back with a swab from the inside of Sly's platform shoes, and he verified it was worn by him. Obviously I couldn't provide any paperwork because I didn't want to get my colleague into trouble. As for how I obtained this beauty, lets just say some of my patients prefer to barter for steroid injections, rather than receive bills and have a paper trail created. But don't be too jealous, as I've got some more of his watches coming up for sale shortly. I just have to find some more pics of what he wears .... I mean, I just have to collect on some more 'roid accounts which are overdue.

The Franken Fiddy returns... with some nice upgrades...

I look forward to more shots of that movement as well -
Case from Jackson, but not sure what dial it uses. I know it is a Radiomir dial, but don't know the model.

"Embarrassingly thin"? Are you sure you have the latest Sead/Nembo CG? I just examined a couple of loose ones I have, and they do look a lot like the above pictured one. I'll be taking some watch pics later in the week, if I remember I'll snap some of the Sead/Nembo CG to see if they are the same. But the are definitely not "embarrassingly thing".

No video, but here are a couple pics of the results. Unfortunately, epilepsy even affects watch enthusiasts, so please make a donation to your local Epilepsy Foundation, thank you for your generosity (Please note: Tax benefits differ from country to country).

Not sure if you have experience with DSN lume work, and just want to know if it's still the same, or have no experience with his dials at all. But you'll find that his lume is always better than rep, is SuperLuminova, but is not as good as a Vac/Flav/The Zigmeister sausage lume. Also you may find that sometimes the application looks like it has been done by an epileptic during a seizure. Occasionally he will also ship a dial that his Lumers forgot to work on. However, if you run into any of the previously mentioned problems, he'll send another dial to make it right, or you can return the watch for a new one.

A week actually isn't that long for DSN, especially just after Chinese New Year. Don't bother with PMs though, he only uses email, and generally reads them between 9am and 12pm (Hong Kong time) Weekdays. So sen him an email during that period, or just before. Then if he hasn't replied to you in a few days, send another, as he may have just skipped over the previous ones.

Have you contacted DSN? He will replace it - does it all the time.

DO NOT BUY FROM THAT SITE. It is a redirect/copy of the more established PerfectClones. The new PC site is now called Perfect-Hour.

What, no Greek watch smiths or parts suppliers? Or are they just to busy drinking Mataxa and munching on some roast lamb
-
By the way, from the original post, has anyone tried dragging a case behind their car, or even bicycle (giving more control), to distress it? If yes, I definitely want to see pics
-
Nope, someone mentioned that I had the same one as him. And since he's been a member here much longer than me, I bowed to his seniority and found a new one
-
Now that's got real character. I may just keep the test 195 I put together the other day, and do that to the case. I like it!
-
The case would probably be cost prohibitive, unless you made a great deal of them (lots of money to get the first one properly made). The crown guards have had a few attempts - some too thin, one a bit on the thick side, another .... you get the idea.
-
As far as I know, if the Panerai markings are required, your only options are to buy a genuine one (browse Paneristi or WUSeek sales areas), or buy a rep one - all of which are junk. Even the genuine non-Gator ones aren't that great, to be honest.

Sorry, but JacksonTse's 44mm Luminor style manual wind cases do have strap dimples between the lugs. Not huge ones, but there is a dimple there.
-
Old style case is what you want. New style are more run of the mill rep cases.

Here is the post on RG, where EggMcManos just took a CapeCod to the case.

Couple of questions about manual titanium cases.
Drulee replied to Drulee's topic in The Panerai Area
As requested, here are a few titanium 44mm Luminor manual wind cases that I've collected over the last few months (sorry the first pic is so dark). -
Yeah, that looks exactly like a JacksonTse PVD case, same finish, same CG and crown (which is shinier than all the other parts). Where did you get the black seconds hand from?
-
Just took some pics of a few titanium cases I've collected the last few months:

I remember EggMcManos, over on RG, giving one a rub down (get your mind out of the gutter) with a CapeCod cloth. Ended up giving it a gun metal look. I've got a 195 put together using a JacksonTse case (same as Getat I believe) that I was thinking of doing the CapeCod thing to.

Bezels are fine, but you can still fill the sub-dial with water and stick a guppy in there
