  1. Shoot an email to Katt's Watch Service .. GKLONER at GMAIL dot COM Describe your problem and the need of a good crystal press. He's in the Midwest and normally turns jobs around in a week.
  2. Beautiful. One of my favorites.
  3. I would assume Yes, but it's best to ask.
  4. Return shipping is always your responsibility and count on two month turn around with Chinese New Year starting. You might want to consider having that crystal pressed by a local professional.
  5. I have a rectangular silver dial Crazy Hour, and I bought a lozenge shaped crazy hour colour dreams in pink for my daughter. I picked up a gen pink lozenge dial and a gen ruby red rectangular dial, and as you know sometimes toumii sends along a free dial with each you buy so I also have an immaculate gen dial exactly like yours which I now intend to use. The final dial is a gen non-crazy pink dial and I do not know what I'm doing with that one yet. I was thinking about DLC'ing the rectangular case and dropping the ruby dial into it with a maroon horn back strap. That's the plan, anyway.
  6. Remember ... just a tiny bit. Too much oil in a watch is just as bad as no oil
  7. Hike, your sig pic reminds me of that study done a few years back where women and men agreed to be filmed (just their faces) as they "got off" .. where was that study done? I forget. Your sig seems to be taken from that study. Today was Swiss Fish Day!!
  8. This watch (and many others) are supposed to be waterproof but the truth is that the quality control at the Factory is very bad. One member here opened his 4000 to find no gasket O-ring! After he found a good gasket and installed it himself, the watch was very good. No one can tell you if your replica watch is waterproof! You must check it yourself .. forgotten gasket = flood.
  9. As someone said earlier, "ingod44" fills his eBay store from time to time then it goes empty .. then some time passes and he fills it again. Just keep checking. If he's in China, then you have a long wait. Chinese New Year screw things up for an entire month.
  10. toumii sells damaged dials, but she is up front about it in the descriptions, and does not charge full retail like those Three Brothers Jewelers scam artists.
  11. Uni-directional means that it only turns one way. Yours is working properly. You are confusing with the word "bi-directional" For a watch to be rated for diving, the dive timer bezel MUST be uni-directional to prevent mishaps.
  12. Wrap that rascal (watch) in as much bubble pack as you can afford !! I received 2 re-manufactured hard drives today. The shipper had placed both drives in a box which was the exact same size as the hard drives. No air space .. and wrapped in 1 layer of worn-out bubble pack .. the SMALL bubbles, not the larger bubbles. The SATA connector was snapped from a small hit the outside of the box.
  13. Be certain to ask her for QC pictures, since I do not remember if she does this automatically. You might have to ask for them.
  14. Silix has a large selection of FM watches in his "Economy Watches" section under the Franck Muller area. There must be a dozen or more Crazy Hours styles in there. Note: Crazy Hours only come with A21j movements .. that's why they are 80-100 dollars.
  15. This is a common issue with the DSSD. That is why BK makes such a big deal about QC'ing the crystals on the DSSDs he sells. You need to pop out the crystal, check that the crystal gasket is not damaged and re-press the crystal into place *properly* ... this is just a matter of the assembler at the factory being lazy.
  16. Welcome! And the best thing you can do is read read read! You can learn everything you want to know right here.
  17. Oh and hey, on a side note, I can't believe those "Three Brothers Jewelers" assholes are trying to sell used FM dials on the 'bay for $600 each with damaged lume and other flaws.
  18. OK I did the work for you. Here's the topic from Dr Gran
  19. And yes. I have four gen FM dials now and am about to have one set into a rep case. The Zigmeister did great work for you.
  20. Look at the series of posts by user Gran ... he found an excellent strapmaking house which cooked up a flawless black double hornback for his FM Crazy Hours .. Imagination Workshop something?? I forget the name of the leather shop.
  21. There are many good leathersmiths here who frequently advertise completed straps for sale.
  22. Double sided AR shows 2 dim reflections .. Single sided AR shows 1 dim reflection and one bright reflection. No AR is perfect. You will see SOMETHING in there .. but the better the AR the less you will see. edit: realized I'd mis-typed the differences
  23. Most rep bracelets are full of machine grit and metal bits. You should wash the bracelet throroughly with dish soap and water. Really work it in there. Then rinse rinse rinse! Lastly, use a dry-style lubricant commonly found in bicycle shops and sold as bike chain lube. It goes on as a liquid, but the liquid flashes away and leaves a powerful dry lubricating layer. Work it in!!!
