As far as I am aware, complete eta movements come packaged for retail sale in sealed, protective bags. These are absolutely perfect and need no work at all. A factory or a bulk buyer receives trays of eta movements in plastic clamshell cases which are not protective from humidity, dust, etc. So depending upon how you purchase your eta movements, the delivery method is very different. It is 100% upon the shoulders of the factory to then store the bulk trays of movements in a clean room ..

You might get 1 movement that's dry for oil, and another made the same day that's dripping with too much oil. Plus the bonus pube in the main spring. A properly serviced china clone is as good as a properly serviced eta movement. What this means, is that if you love a particular watch and decide it is a keeper, then get it serviced for years of trouble-free watching.

Even if they are new, they are not assembled in a good environment. Improper oiling, and contamination by hair and dirt is the real problem; not "oldness"

Watch International actually started the QC photo ball rolling. Andrew and Josh would rather be dead than send out QC photos but enough people began asking for them due to Watch International's photos that they began to do it, reluctantly. If you want to put a little money into it, then MD2020 is actually a watch technician here, and I'm sure he can take it apart, waterproof it, and change out the movement if it's rusted now.

The DeepSea is the least expensive "good" DeepSea replica out there. It's a noobfactory case and dial with an A21j movement inside and glass crystal instead of real sapphire. It's probably a $130 watch, new.

Look at a light source reflected in your watch crystal. Two bright reflections is no AR ... One dim reflection and one bright reflection is single AR and two dim reflections is double AR. The outside surface of the crystal makes an image and the inside surface of the crystal makes an image.

Cape Cod is also full of chemicals; it's not just an abrasive cloth. The chemicals in Cape Cod dissolved the glue in my DSSD bezel, and the insert fell out!

I'm curious ... The YM is quite small already. Plus, it is in vogue right now for women to wear this size watch. I'm certain a regular YM will look great unless she is a very tiny woman.

The dealers will not "send them out" .. you should be able to buy them, yes of course. I think I paid $20 for a DSSD bezel when I broke mine a couple of years ago.

When you buy a complicated movement like a mechanical chronograph in a replica, you must accept that you will need to service it in order to protect your "investment" .. Perhaps not in the first months but eventually.
