  1. I love how they purposely photograph him from belt buckle height, so you can not see he's only 5 feet tall. That camera must be only 3 feet off the ground.
  2. I would not worry too much. This happens a lot in our hobby ... some little one-man shop creates something special, and is promptly washed off the Earth by a flood of emails .. hundreds per week. Do you want these people answering all email, or working on their special watches? I think we all know the answer
  3. OK so I used Search again and found the original TG v1 by Pugwash and the original TG v2 review by Lanikai .. both these people are highly respected members who no longer visit the forum. Torobravo is a dealer here, and appears to be a source of info on the V2 in the first article we discussed. Maybe you could ask his opinion. http://www.rwg.cc/to...top-gun-review/ http://www.rwg.cc/to...-tg-v2-ceramic/
  4. Yes, this review is two years old and the one I'm referencing in that thread is three years old, so frankly I don't remember much about them.
  5. Search is your friend. Whatever you want to know, someone has asked it before! RWG Top Gun ceramic V1 and V2 comparison review http://www.rwg.cc/topic/115465-iwc-top-gun-v1v2-and-the-gen-by-toro-bravo-and-takashi/ Sorry but this reviewer chose to use a 3rd party image host, instead of RWG hosting, so the pictures are long gone. A shame, really.
  6. As mentioned, instead of paying so much extra money for the Swiss 7750, buy the less expensive Asian clone 7750 then have it expertly serviced and set up.
  7. Trusty has been with the Forums for literally years and years. Nothing wrong with that! Welcome to the forum.
  8. Glowing in the very dim daylight
  9. A lot of people don't know that Sead is not only a small dealer, but a modder and exotic strap supplier as well. He always has surprisingly beautiful straps.
  10. Sea-Gull made ETA clones are easy to spot. In addition to only having a single balance shock spring release notch, they have nickel plating and pearlage. (circular decorations) You can clearly see the single notch and pearlage here. Notice that unlike Guangzhou company clones, these have a correct curve in the baseplate casting. (see previous post for curve location)
  11. Altho the Ultimate PO is a good watch, what makes it great is the use of identical dimensions to the genuine watch. This allows you to replace any part you like with a genuine part supplied by Omega. This easy upgrade path is what made this replica one of the most famous, ever.
  12. A modern Swiss movement has: 3 release notches in the incabloc spring mounting block - China clone does not - note that if you do not know what you are looking at, it is easy to assume I am talking about the curvy spring in this photo. I am talking about the nickel colored mounting block that holds the spring. Your photo is too grainy to tell if there are 3 notches.
  13. It's funny that I did not notice until now that the 2824 is a china clone. So you did not only mix 2846 and 2824 .. you mixed Swiss and Guangzhou
  14. As someone already mentioned, the watch modder named BK sells a massaged DeepSea that looks great, and comes with a true Swiss ETA movement inside. You can check out his area here on the forum .. it's called BK's Watch Garage
  15. I hope S. is prepared for this big of a response. I wouldn't want him to be swamped by success. It's happened before!
  16. I read a review of this unit written by a lab technician, and the tech said they used a half and half mix so I tried it, and it works fine. The black dirt clouds that vibrate out of the joints of a metal watch bracelet are very satisfying to watch. This piece has a 3 minute self-timer, so I always run it 3 or 4 times in a row.
  17. http://www.meritline...---p-55402.aspx Great for watch things and general jewelry. I use a mixture of Windex and water .. does a great job.
  18. OK so then the NoobFactory YM is what you refer to as the SA3135 ... and the WM9 Yachtmaster is what you refer to as the TC Yachtmaster. Got it! Thanks for explaining. Oh wait. What the heck is a Sean YM
  19. It's a popular notion in the UK, like BMW drivers are all man-child pricks in the USA. Don't take it personally. If you watch the UK series "Top Gear" it becomes obvious.
  20. Ok .. I don't read other watch boards so can you be a little more clear ~ "TC" Yachtmaster is a WM9 Yachtmaster .. as far as I know. That's who makes them, and ships them directly to TCs customers, I believe. So who/what is a SA3135 Yachtmaster??
  21. Narikaa left this forum as a dealer last year. You will have better luck emailing him directly.
  22. It all depends on what kind of replica watch you are talking about. Every factory only makes a certain sub-set of available models. For instance, you would not say that N-Factory makes the best Yachtmaster; the WM9 factory has that honor. In truth, the owner/planner of any factory has to decide if "this new replica will be a super replica" .. not every watch from a factory is "the best you can get" just because some of it's watches are the best.
