You're correct. The "updated" insert is a step backwards. The triangle should be curved, not straight. The older insert is too curved, but the new one is perfectly straight.

The whole point of a Bronze watch case is that it darkens over time. When it's new, it should not look old. I agree that faking a Bronzo by gold plating a stainless steel watch is retarded, tho.
