  1. Interesting! So titanium can scratch sapphire!! I didn't think this was possible or even probable.
  2. I guess I have to ask again .. my old PayPal invoice has to be cleared out. ... Please. Invoice #6035 thanks!
  3. Everyone needs to understand that the important difference in lume is longevity. Lasting thru the night is the #1 hallmark of good lume. A lot of lume powder can be bright after you charge it, but how about in an hour? How about in SEVEN hours? Tritec luminova is the best, and it can not appear to be "battery powered" for very long. But it glows firmly all night and that is the whole point. Initially, you should be able to read a book by it's light but after a short while ... no.
  4. Not every trusted rep merchant has a "big store" .. some are one-person shops, who you speak to directly in email. Regardless of size, each has been with the Community for years, and is a trusted merchant. Jos Nana = Joshua of Perfect Clones and is one of the biggest "big stores" http://www.1-pc8838.com BK is a watch **modder** not a watch retailer. He imports select high-quality models into the USA and re-sells them with the option to have them variously improved before shipment. Bergie deals exclusively in top rank soft goods. (clothing/shoes/luggage/purses/accessories) - he is a 2 person shop. PM him here as user "KB" Connie King has a "big store" at http://KingShowBox.com Sead at SuperMirrors runs a 1-man store. He'll send you QC photos of any watch he has, if you ask. He is also a modder and can procure custom exotic leather straps for your watch pre-shipment. David Sen builds to order. He's that rare breed of builder-retailer. Watch International is a 2-person operation; they take your order, then walk over the the watch bazaar and hand-pick your pieces for you ... have you tried watch-international.com ? Your best bet is to email them, anyway .. the web site is not updated properly. The most important thing you can learn here, is that almost every dealer has the same watches. It's not like they make them in their own basement. What you want in reality is someone who you can trust with your money, and who also supplies a decent return policy if your piece arrives broken. You can get the same watches sold by the trusted dealers on a lot of internet web sites but those sites will lie to you about chinese or swiss or automatic or quartz movements, and charge you hundreds of dollars extra per watch. edit: to sum it up .. the web site you're mentioning is an unknown. why send $400+ into a black hole in China, hoping a watch will come back out of that hole.
  5. I have a pending invoice and can not subscribe, Boss Man.
  6. I could be very wrong, but doesnt Trusty's site say it's stainless plated with red gold?
  7. Just so you are aware: the trusted dealers offer free re-shipment of seized watches on the *first* occurrence. Check their terms for more info.
  8. BK is a watch modder who imports NoobFactory watches and re-sells them. He has modding facilities, so if you want your watch "worked on" before it's shipped to you, he can do that. And yes, he is in the CONUS.
  9. My best is the Zig-blessed Great White @ +2 seconds a day. I have others that run this well, but they have all been regulated. They don't arrive from the dealer this way. Look at this beautiful lug shoulder he did on this case. YUM. Before anyone mentions it, NO the lug holes were not beveled. The case has simply been polished, wearing on the lug holes.
  10. The best movement would be a genuine swiss ETA movement in this watch. The second best movement would be the new super clone chinese ETA movement. The trusted dealers are listed on the front page of this web site.
  11. The Trust Time model you have linked is the latest version, released only 3 weeks ago. It has a clone decorated Rolex movement inside of it. The PureTime model you have linked is the previous "best" model DSSD, with the latest "superclone" chinese ETA movement. OK? Any other questions, please ask.
  12. The genuine bezel inserts are not painted. They are entirely plated in platinum metal, and then run past buffing wheels which remove all the platinum metal except what is deep inside the sunken numerals.
  13. You're correct. The "updated" insert is a step backwards. The triangle should be curved, not straight. The older insert is too curved, but the new one is perfectly straight.
  14. The whole point of a Bronze watch case is that it darkens over time. When it's new, it should not look old. I agree that faking a Bronzo by gold plating a stainless steel watch is retarded, tho.
  15. The best strap I've seen on the 127 is a Gunny #74 Hands down. http://gunnystraps.blogspot.com/
  16. As far as 5 year-old topics go, this one is surprisingly complete. Every time the Forum administrator changes software or hosts, invariably things become lost forever. Also, some contributors eventually leave the board or purposely remove their posts over time. As with anything on the internet, if it is there .. you are lucky, because tomorrow it will not be there. That being said, welcome to the community. Read as much as you can, and you'll learn more than you ever thought you'd know.
  17. Even if your replica watch was designed to be water-resistant, the lack of quality control at the chinese factories means you can not be certain! If the watch assembly person forgets to install your rubber gasket ... disaster. This is the main problem!
  18. They went too far with the bezel insert triangle @ 12 It is supposed to have a slight curve. The old one was too curved, but now this one has no curve. Oh dear.
  19. The date window should have a little frame around the opening, and the sailing ship on the case back cover should be more detailed with engraving. Not smooth.
