I have extremely bad luck with DG keyless works. Other than that, they run beautifully. When a new one costs less than 20 dollars, why would you worry?
I'm glad you mentioned the smell ... when you open up the box the smell of amazing leather just spins you around. At least it did on the two Hermes bags I've bought.
A relative from out of town was down there last year with her daughters, and was a little freaked out that she needed to follow a dealer back to his safe house to look at the good stuff. So there was no sale.
This kind of strap smoothes out "scratches" by running your thumb over it for a moment. It's not a solid smooth finished surface, but more of a hairy sueded surface, so don't sweat it.
You can tell what kind of AR you have by looking at the crystal in the light. You will always see two reflections of a light source. If one reflection is very bright, you have single AR. If both reflections are muted, then you have double AR.
Altho this Forum was introduced to only Mary, I gather from what people are saying here and on other forums that there are two people at WI .. not just her.
Watch International has always been a great dealer to work with. Fair pricing and good service. Just don't use the web site to buy .. it's out of date and not very good. Always email them directly!
I swirl them 360 degrees in my palm, but I only count every other swirl, so it mentally seems like I'm doing less work than I am. When I wind my wife's watch, I'll give it 200 swirls to get her started on the day. She doesn't move a lot at work.
While much of what you say is true to some extent, the truth is that almost anyone with a job can save up the $3500 it costs to own a used Submariner. As long as you don't go hog wild and wear a $20,000 Rolex, I think it is pretty credible.
90 seconds is nothing. A simple touch of regulation will fix it fine. As for service .. maybe, maybe not. If it's a dead consistent 90 seconds a day, then your watch is running perfectly! It just needs it's rate adjusted.
If it was caught on the hour hand, would not that hand be damaged as well.
My thought is while you were bounding around with the dog, the minute hand flexed and was caught on one of those floating hour markers until it became short enough (through bending) to be released.
That man was a talent powerhouse in his prime. Nothing to be frowney about. How about .. "Don't Fall in Love With A Dreamer" w/Kim Carnes. Heartbreaking.
This is the last day I will see my new MBK 1665 mild franken for a while .. it's off to The Zigmeister for it's final touches .. white re-lume, service, and a complete polish/brush job.
