  1. If I may suggest: people in the EU are not offering names of good watch makers for 7750 because you have asked for help in a "hello" topic. If you make a new topic titled "help with 7750 repair in EU" I am sure many people will offer names.
  2. Are you certain that your dlc coating is not marked with metal. Try to rub a spot with your moistened finger, and the shiny speck should come off. Since the dlc is so tough, pieces of metal get stuck to it when you crash your watch into metal.
  3. So England is spending millions on heightened Customs screening to intercept any counterfeit Olympic merchandise, since that could cost them hundreds of thousands in sales revenue. Classic.
  4. Funny; when the original green MG came out, the factory used that "green gasket" trick to simulate the green ring. People complained it was a cheap trick, so they stopped and used green sapphire crystals. It just shows that you can't please everyone, and some folks really like the way a green gasket makes the watch appear.
  5. Screw it down finger tight, and then 1/4 turn more afterwards with a tool .. should be good.
  6. Nice work! It looks great. Sorry they shipped you a bad watch.
  7. While many people will chime in here to say "I have had my rep 7750 for 15 years and never even wound it once and it makes me breakfast" and other crap, the sad fact is that this is a very complicated piece of machinery, and it comes from the Asian factories dirty and poorly oiled. You must factor in the cost of a full service when you see the cost of the 7750 watch on the web site. Why would you throw your money away on a watch that needs service by NOT servicing it? Now the OP has a very expensive wristband shaped like a watch.
  8. Someone turned the swears filter up to PSYCHO CHURCH LADY power setting.
  9. Yeah Nanuq is onto something here. What watch are we talking about.
  10. I'm very sorry to hear this, Stonie. I hope your outlook changes for the better in the future.
  11. I am 95% sure that Vaccum specializes in AR and lume for this watch.
  12. You know what .. I was out at a restaurant and wasnt thinking properly; I was thinking double red SD.
  13. Can you pull off a $25,000 watch? The white is a $4,000 watch
  14. No, the difference is that sapphire can not be scratched by anything but a diamond. Glass crystals can be scratched. It's not "bad" ... Every common watch crystal out there is mineral. Seiko, Timex etc etc. Including your Casio Oceanus.
  15. I must have been hit on the head, and missed Saturday!! This is what I was wearing while I was unconscious.
  16. Hi and welcome. Stick to the list of trusted dealers and you will be pleased. They have been with us for years.
  17. Yes, the 382 N has been available at PC and Trusty since the Christmas holidays in gold plate (fake bronze) only http://www.1-pc8838....to-p-11535.html
  18. Welcome to the Forums! And no, it will never stop.
  19. There are already Mini Fiddy watches available .. send Sead a PM .. he's a trusted dealer here, and can source them for you. One thing .. no sapphire crystals on this replica. Mineral glass. Also, the normal "8 Days" PAM replica is a looks like a mini fiddy, but with working power reserve,
  20. If you want a recommendation, Trusty Time is the man.
  21. The purpose of this forum and the others like it is to protect watch hobbyists from scam sites. If I gave you a short list of bad dealers, 10 people would be be all over me. The dealers listed on this site have been with us for at least two years and some close to ten. They have a proven record of service and a reasonable level of accuracy in their web pages. Photos of the actual watches, not pictures of the genuine pieces; honest about the origin of the movement .. Swiss, Asian, etc .. Honesty about sapphire crystals or normal glass (synthetic sapphire) Basically you get what you order in a timely fashion and if it's broken when you get it, they accept returns for repair. Enjoy your new hobby.
