Sometimes people should not be mods for the reason of maturity level or mental imbalance
When those kinds of people become mods, they can bury a Forum. It destroys the community.
21 years now posting to forums. Seen it all. Done it all.
Unfortunately Trevor (and some other dealers) does not update his area here as often as he does on other forums.
He hasn't bothered to update his area in over a month. So where is this new offering? How about a link?
There are several (6? 7?) photo-pictorial reviews of Bergie's Hermes belts, some which include gen comparisons.
Go up to the search box, up top, and type in "Hermes Belt Review" and make sure FORUMS is highlighted, not "This Thread"
When a factory receives a batch of bad parts, they are used regardless. There will be no good watches until all the bad watches are sold and another batch is run.
The bad 10 dssd??? A crooked dial killed a whole dealership .. 45mm UPO with bad dial print spacing???
These 3 example watches did not just go away. They were sold to *someone* who cared a little less than you, then the next factory run fixed the issue.
So why the difference, then.
One is obviously much brighter. I know TB said "dont tell me it's the camera" but there is obviously a huge difference here and my first thought is "it's the camera".
As an impartial observer, Sneed, you are kind a persnickety a-hole to people. I'm sure that's just your personality and that you don't mean anything by it.
It's true about the SuperClone but aren't the dealers charging a lot for those, since they are new? Why would they give them away, even to be dishonest
There are some subtle but definite tells between the Asian clone and Swiss ETA movements.
The balance wheel shock absorber and it's housing ..
The reversing wheels lightening holes
A particular area of the base plate casting ...
Presence of pearlage on a basic movement? (SeaGull)
As for reliability .. service both and they will each last a long time.
Yes, of course you could service a normal 3-handed movement yourself .. As long as you learn how and are willing to buy the tools and supplies. Such as watch oil a simple time-grapher and an ultrasonic bath.
Look to pay a trusted watch modder from the forums between 80 and 100 dollars for this work. Oh and an Asian eta clone is your best bet.
Although it has been ready for a while, Vac has not had the time to ship it. He is a super-busy modder and anyone who sends a watch his way must be patient.
You can bet there will be a photo shoot when it arrives.
Ps - did you notice that the 2012 500 M has no cyclops? I'm a trend setter! LOL
I received this watch on Saturday and it's wristie leads off today's wrist-shot Monday.
I must make provisions for a serious all white lume job, re-polish/brush and a service to make it complete.
