Hi, sorry to post here, but that seems better than yet another j12 thread hehe... Has anyone sized one of these down to fit a 5.75in or 14.5cm wrist? Thanks for any advice
-
Not sure how the bezel lock works but my v2 is tested to 12atms. The WS used the original seals from the factory to achieve this. I wouldn't trust it direct from china though.

Great news! Thanks Mike!

Hi, does anyone know if the ceramic braclets of say... rep J12's can be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner? Any experience or opinions from peeps who know these types of cleaners? Thanks

I can't recomment gen MB's either. Like someone above, it practically shattered when it hit the floor. Regardless of what you've heard about MB being sympathetic about such things, they weren't. Half cost of what I paid to fix it. On reps, I've bought from Josh but only the the rollerballs. They are great quality and accept gen refills even though the site doesn't say so. I mentioned this to Josh and he said yes, "some do, some don't - better just not to say incase they don't". The one that's shaped like a women's body is of particularly excellent quality - forget the name of it.

I saw a 111j in the wild yesterday. Great, gen, looking piece - except for the AR. Was waiting at a taxi stand covertly eyeballing the watch and everytime the sun caught the VERY strong blue reflection it was a seriously obvious giveaway. While I don't own one, and that was the first i've seen one even, it made me realise aftermarket AR is a must on the 111j.

I probably wouldn't have noticed it at all without Andreww's well spotted notes but... Does thing even have a crown? It looks like just the crown tube. An aside, my mate has a street fake Bentley from indonesia that looks a lot like this with a brown dial. It's so bad. Besides not working, both the pushers fell off and the bracelet is actually chromed plastic! I should get a pic for the horror musuem thread.
-
Not sure about the rep but the gen uses push buttons on the back (wrist side) of the bracelet. In lieu of a tool you can use blunted toothpicks.

An emory board or nail file. Don't use the puffy/soft style ones and use the finer grained side. Patience and taking your time is key to this procedure. You need to be meticulous on all links. Lube the bracelet with some kind of dry lube when you're done.

Third it! Have never seen anything but dealer pics.

I smoke but I don't like smoking as well. This is my year to give up too. Going to get the Champix and read Eric Carr's book. Which I've had unread for two years. Was talking about it to a friend recently and she gave me advice that sounded really proper. She said something like "when you get a craving, one of those really bad ones - you just have to remember that that desperate craving will only last a moment, not the rest of your life". swdivad - what exactly are these e-cigs? Do they use tobacco or something else?

DSSD Ultimate - what are the flaws?
mastrmindalliance replied to kramerica2's topic in The Rolex Area
Jkay is right. And while he's talking about the most obvious flaws, there are others in both. I was lucky enough to compare in the flesh, my V5, my cartel ult and the gen. I kept the cartel ult. Don't let web pics fool you. In real life the gen has thick hour marker edges just like the cartel does (although mine is The Zigmeister lumed). In short, none of the DSSD's are super-rep accurate under a loupe - but they are friggin AWESOME reps! You wont be disappointed. -
If i did it, I would use a battery powered beardtrimmer. Not sure about the balls though. In fact the balls are the reason i'd be hard pressed to do it. They're way too precious to put any cutting instruments near there. Also, they would be a huge job (sorry couldn't resist)

Who are you trading with and where are you?

It's knot for me either

Chanel J12 for men - anybody own one?
mastrmindalliance replied to ExtraExtra's topic in General Discussion
I own this. It's a genuine swiss powered Australian brand (retails way over priced for $1200). It's clearly inspired/knocked off from the j12. The thing is, it's 44mm before crown and pushers so it wears bigger than my DSSD. This pic doesn't show it but the carbon fibre dial is really cool. I also really like the rounded insert and the double ringed bezel. I don't like the hands though. mybe i'll get some mercedes hands fitted. All my mates, even the big rugby playing homophobe types, love it. There are a few reasons i wouldn't wear the Chanel j12, though it's small size is the main one. -
Just givin' this thread a kick in the [censored] cos today is Straya Day. Very bloody funny Aussie comedian Rodney Rude:

Rare DRSD showing up on TRF, what do you make of it?
mastrmindalliance replied to P4GTR's topic in The Rolex Area
No... I mean use of language. One of my columnist's is a Jeanne (of South African decent). -

I think the buyer/lucky SOB is female. Just something about the poster's use of language makes me think it's a woman. -
Oh, and Mj, I'll be right behind you. From Aus day to CNY celebrations If yr plane gets held up, shoot me an SMS and we'll have a quick beer at the airport. I guess we could choose either Aus day or CNY as the excuse
-
Yep and esky full of cold ones! Here's the translation "Wow, It's Australia Day on Wednesday. I'm excited. I'll drink some beer and play cricket, We'll have a barbeque and the girls will make pavlova (desert - merengue cake with glazed fruit). We'll probably get really drunk. What is everyone else doing? I'll wear this gen Austalian watch so I can go swimming and in case i get hit by the cricket ball (though I doubt it was made in Australia). <image> Have a great day everyone"
-
Hehe, actually I own a Steelfish with The Zigmeister lume, taka AR and gen rubber no less. This is still more accurate. Seriously. I know it's a love or hate style of watch but it's like 95-97% accurate visually. An incredible rep. When you get one I'm sure you'll agree.
-
Nice one. Until I compare my 288k to a gen I'm convinced this is the most accurate rep i own. Great pics!

Strike me 'ansome, it's Straya Day on Wednesday diggers. You little ripper! I'll be sinkin a cupla tinnies and rolling the arm over with me mates in the big back yard. Bruce'll burn some prawns on the barbie and the sheilas'll knock up some pav. A man's not a camel so we'll all probably carry on like pork chops. What'r you lot up to? I'll be sportin this gen aussie number so I can 'ave a dip and in case I cop a corker (though I doubt it was made this side of the black stump). Have a bonza bloody day cobbers!
