  1. Gidday and welcome from Bris!
  2. Wow great pics! Have they been PSD HDR'd?
  3. Wow, that is incredible. It would be an amazing place to visit. Being from the subtropics, I'm not sure about living there though. Can I ask what made you choose such place to live?
  4. I think they are trying to mimic the gen. The gen U1 I saw had lume areas that almost looked like they were covered in grains of sand! Especially the hands.
  5. No, from Josh, the model is King Power. The grubby fingered bad pic^ just doesn't show how impressive this is. You've got to see it in the flesh! I'm really really impressed.
  6. This Ult king power arrived today (my first quality HBB). Wow, it's all kinds of OOB awesomes! Do believe the hype, they're that good!
  7. After running a venture for thongs (you call em flip-flops) some years ago, we learnt that you really must be on the ground over there, with an interpreter as Drulee mentioned, at least intially. Depending on the size/scope of your operation you may find it neccessary to visit regularly. Another, perhaps easier, option is to source manufacture and contacts from HK, which will in turn be done from the mainland anyway, then via HK to you. You may find the HK route more beneficial as it's much more english language friendly and frankly, a better place to visit for the trappings. This will of course increase the cost marginally with more hands. Good luck!
  8. I'm not a fan of the watch (no offense) but there's something about this pic... you know? ... kehehehe
  9. IMO, it has the 'ETZ' v5 bezel insert (curved top triangle) but the rest is = or >V3 because of the dial, as others mentioned, but also because the HEV is not recessed. I've had three of these suckers and the best you can buy (again only IMO) is the Ult with 316f with older Ult non316f clasp (better definition) and then ziggified.
  10. Interesting read, thanks Mj. Even though I'm in Aus I'll stick with josh hehe. Though designerwishlist offers paypal. hmmm.
  11. She's a beaut! This is definitely my next purchase (sometime after the HBB king power arrives this week heheh). Does anyone know exactly which item this is at Josh's? Wristy please!
  12. My new plop and replacement crystal has arrived (neither are delammed that i can see). OS, I will give you a buzz in the morn as I have company atm. In the meantime, any suggestions as to how I should store the spare crystal? (not sure if airtight and dry bag is way to go... oh, for those interested, Josh's 21j has the case stampings missing from the more expensive models, but the finishing isn't as good around the crownguard. Could just be a one off though as it's very neat on my other - the one ^^OS has - it's Josh's asian eta clone. Also has all the same trimmings as the more expensive one, without the stem/date problem. Chat in morning A! Edit - fcuking love this watch!
  13. I've priced some brieting gear here in Aus (not this particular item though), and you _are_ in for a shock. Across the board we're 30% more expensive than the US and Asia. The brietling Mesh for eg. is worth 900 AUD with no haggling for cash like when buying watches. While OS it's worth about 650 AUD (based on straight conversion at the time). This actually goes for all high end luxury. For eg; LV speedy 35 in Aus= 1100, while elsewhere its about 750 (AUD). Why do they charge us so much? Because, simply, we can afford to pay. I will never buy gen again in Aus. Will save that for when on Hols.
  14. I would spend a couple hundred g's on the resto that my Brougham needs (actually could get it done for about 80 - but could do it really well if money was no object). One of only 600 made, the Holden HG Brougham:
  15. An excellent choice! Just fyi, the gold is holding up very well on the bracelet. It has traveled OS with me twice and is the second most worn rep I own! I'v had it now for 6-8months.
  16. It happens very rarely but I have had the most comments on the montbrilliant legende TT: Bad photo, but it's quite an impressive looker IRL: IMO, it's the wide and intricate with gold bracelet that gets the comments. The bracelet is more like jewellery than any other watch i own.
  17. How about submersing in something oil based - like "baby oil"? Just throwing a different suggestion out there... Edit: actually perhaps an oil that is more viscous - to mimic the oils present during production or skin oil. A lighter oil (like cooking oil say...)
  18. Have fingers crossed for the Green one!
  19. I'm absolutely, 97% ,sure it's not... Will see what I can do to double check this.
  20. Perhaps expanding and contracting with temperature does make sense. As mine got saturated (not submersed - but seriously wet - more wet than I like to get my gens even) and it stood its ground for nearly six weeks. And as OS knows, it's been positively arctic here in subtropical Queensland lately... Keep up the great work Offshore!
  21. Sweet! You got it out neat. I have made my inquiry and keep you posted of outcome! Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds - or de-laminates as the case may be.
  22. Yep looks like the V2 is really no more... Just stumbled across this new addition (which appears to be the older V1) . "http://www.1-pc8838.com/0480-p-8953.html"
  23. That makes sense, will make a note of it. Funny it's right on knock-off time for me, so I get it regularly too (but i understand it being the path of least resistance). Keep up the great work admins and thanks!
  24. Spoke too soon lol. Mine has started to go... Looks just llike thogaa's^ except at 7 oclock. Is the asian from Josh. Gonna try my luck locally before sending back...
