  1. I'd be very surprised if they would do any kind of case change. They probably have 100's of cases already manufactured and there will be no interest to throw that away. it was very clear they were just waiting for the He valve manufacturer to finish so they can glue it it.
  2. I think 2geek only re-coats the rep crystals.
  3. I'm not sure what you mean. You may be talking about some of the larger HBBs that have this issue over time, not this one.
  4. Angus is coming with new models for this with a much improved movement.
  5. The bezel markers on this version are secured from the back like the gen. This time they've got it right. No glued markers on this one.
  6. Unfortunately no. You need a thicker crystal to look good. The QC pic is misleading. They take it from an angle that shows the bevel on the crystal but in reality the top of the crystal is flushed with the bezel. Quite a disappointment when I compared with the gen at the AD. The funny part is, it doesn't cost more for the factories to order a crystal that's 1-2mm thicker. It's probably lack of effort/interest from the factories to fix this.
  7. judge for yourself (specially with the bottom right pic from Josh) That's the same problem with all the HBBs. For some unknown reason they order a crystal that's 1-2mm too thin. They put the bevel there which in QC pics gives the illusion the crystal is good but when you get the watch you notice the crystal is almost flushed with the bezel. That's why I had to do a few custom runs of crystals to fix my HBBs. It's even more noticeable when you look at the video. The OEM crystal show a ton of markers reflection on the bevel and that has a very different (expensive) effect in real life.
  8. considering that they still can't get the HBB crystals right, I'm not holding my breath.
  9. as usual, the crystal sucks. Would it kill them to get the crystal height right? here's the gen
  10. if you want a battery watch I'd recommend staying away from Pams. There's no such thing. You can't just replace movements though, if that's what you are asking. I'd contact Watcheden and describe the problem to see if they can replace it.
  11. it varies from movement to movement. For 7750 you have to do it with the stem in the winding position. For the 2824/2836 time set position For the 6497 winding position. It depends on the construction
  12. definitely stolen goods, what other reason someone would have to sell a watch worth $2,900 for $2,200 and not wanting the watch traced back to him? I'd also assume his personal info is stolen too. The other possibility is this could be the franken you deemed too expensive to build. Either way very shady deal you have there, enjoy.
  13. Maybe one day humanity will reject these forms of hate and fear masked as principles, being religious, social or cultural.
  14. if they ship mine and later say "oh sorry, my mistake pay up", my reply will be "talk to my lawyer". imagine if on line sellers could lure you with a low price, get you to place an order, ship the merchandize and say "opps, you owe me more than 2x what we agreed".
  15. define full payment? The price Apple charges or the price this company overcharges? Most likely they will just cancel all orders.
  16. The 32GB option is gone too but no cancellation emails.
  17. that's correct, the movement does not need to be removed. Only the bezel which is not a simple task though.
  18. the part that concerns me is that when you check the order status on Sears.com the order doesn't show the product ID or name. The other guys that bought it, is that the same for you?
  19. I think that ad was a mistake, given how poorly written it was and considering the 16GB is also being sold by that company for a lot more. I contacted Sears and they said items sold on Sears.com are guaranteed by Sears, whatever that means.
  20. bought with Paypal. Not an issue to prove my side with them
  21. This is typical practice with online retailers. Amazon started this marketplace option where you pay Amazon but a 3rd party company is the one that fulfills the order.
  22. well now I've very suspicious since the low price ad is very poorly written. The same store front has another iPad 2 16 GB for a much higher price (higher than Apple.com) and a much better written ad.
  23. I bought one just to check and the billing is done via Sears though. I'm still very suspicious but hopeful. The listing says NEW so ... I've saved all the pages though for my dispute later with Sears
