  1. I paid $35 for mine... 18mm. I didn't think the pricing was too bad?
  2. I'd wait; should be some nice UN models out sometime soon...
  3. I believe hand fitment issues may be a concern if the original rep movement is the high beat A7750; if it's the slow, it should be 1:1 exchange...
  4. Hope you and J have a safe and happy Summer! Cheers and all the best.... R
  5. Maybe a temporary lapse of insanity for me... But I would buy that. Nevermind the fact that: 1) The secs@12:00 7750 is a bit of a time bomb 2) The RBII has never really appealed to me 3) Any/all ROOs don't fit my wrist quite right I am feeling a strong level of attraction to it.
  6. Things are definitely gonna get interesting!
  7. Thank you, wayward! Would have replied sooner, but I oft times get distracted/sidetracked by your avatar...
  8. @J- That's a NICE looking piece! And a great choice for your first IWC!
  9. Oooh! VERY nicely done! Congrats! That is a grail indeed!
  10. 'V2' definitely looks to be a step up from 'V1'; very nicely done. Still can't jive with the TOP GUN logo on the side of the case though... Would prefer without altogether... But, what can ya do? Except maybe take a 3717 and PVD it?
  11. Interesting. Looks like putty on those marker plots. You can always have it relumed... Or maybe replace the dial...
  12. Agree with the others- Unfortunately, not much in terms of dial options out there for the 7750 secs@9:00 set up. Not a lot of support for that one I do have this aftermarket dial, but it's for an El Primero 400; subdial spacing, dial feet, etc. will not line up, center pin hole too small for the 7750 so it's a moot point...
  13. Looks great! Well done and nice custom work on that one...
  14. Actually, that sounds like a cool effect. Any pics? You must spend a lot of time out in the sun for that to happen?
  15. NICE comparison, and great to finally see the legendary franken that I've always heard so much about, as well as the new gen that I've been hearing about! Phenominal piece, and quite honestly, very difficult to discern between the two. Amazing watches... And a very nice fitting pair for your birthday!
  16. I agree! The 5980 ranks high up there on my list of all time faves
  17. Maybe he means the bluish-green dial?
  18. Think I had one of those pass through my hands at one time... Nice watch. Beauty of a dial.
