  1. Hypothetically, yes; the provisions are there for a gasket (small grooved ring chamfer around the diameter of the crystal lip) . However, the newer models do not come equipped with them (the older models however did).
  2. Well, what is more important is not exactly visible. The thing that makes the MBW's so great is their construction. As an example- MBW's use retaining rings for the crystals, so installation and parts acceptance is just like genuine. The reps in the watchonpo link will most likely not have those retaining rings...
  3. Unless the watch is $40.00, I'd say no. Besides... It's these endlinks you want... Genuine 580's. No slots for the springbars.
  4. Auction might be worth it for the 1030 movement, but that's about all.
  5. Hmmmm... The 1680 and 1665 look 'ok', but not great. Certainly not MBW quality. I believe these are the same models being sold by aBay/Aspire...
  6. BTW, Chris- Let me know when you get my 'letter'
  7. So, Maciek- It would appear that you and I have some solid proof that the two companies are working together. I wonder if anyone else has discovered similar findings? And I also wonder what kind of future projects the combined efforts might produce?
  8. I also have reason to believe that the two firms are working in conjunction with each other...
  9. I love diving watches. Only problem is there are far too many out there that I want to add to my collection.
  10. Agree with your suggestion except for one part- There will never be a completely 'bug free/fixed' version The factories and manufacturers will fix a bunch of the flaws, but in the process they will manage to bung up some of the other characteristics or features that were perfectly fine on the prior iteration. So.... I still agree. Buy one of the Asian versions now, and then get one of the 'updated' versions later- Then use both of them to put together one very nice frankenstein hybrid
  11. An unfortunate and frustrating aspect of selling just about anything these days. Lots of 'tire kickers' per se. I try to avoid selling anything as much as possible, but if I do, it's only amongst either a small group of friends, or to trusted members on the forum. Most of the time, the majority of my stuff never even gets to the point of selling on the forum...
  12. I do, indeed! It's a 4mb file... I could email it to you if you want it.
  13. Jocke put that video together sometime ago... I never get tired of watching it
  14. I've seen pictures of Ralph Lauren wearing his 2/56 Egiziano over the sleeve of his leather jacket before...
  15. Heehee. Danke, fellas!! Ruo- I myself was considering one of those old 6309's for a daily.... Can't beat 'em for the price!
  16. Yeah... Just a post stating that a message from Blade/Matrix is coming soon....
  17. Picked up for the wifey for Mother's Day Comparison shot with my MBW 1665- 7 days to build, and 4 days to arrive to my door. This watch will be a 'tester' per se. If Mrs. Ubi likes it, perhaps we'll get her a gen from the AD
  18. I'd add EL's custom made DJ's and DD's. Those are among the best!
  19. Yeah... The SD has had to learn how to share
