  1. I just saw this posting over at TZ... http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg...011#msg_3395547 Check out the "s" on the word "superocean"...I thought that the gens have the "s" with a little bit of a curve on the tail? (Image from the ad on TZ) Please correct me if I am wrong.
  2. I am trying to order a new date wheel for a ETA 2824-2 from Jules Borel. The sales rep asked which height I needed? I've never knew there could be six difference heights for the date wheel?!? With the dial sitting right on top of the movement and date wheel, I didn't think there could be that much room in between for different heights...Can someone lend some advice? Thanks in advance!
  3. Try one of Don's carbon straps...I've heard that they are really great and cheap!
  4. lello, Here is my position on this... I'm planning on installing three of your Breitling date wheels, so I'd prefer to get it right the first time. Although, a 30% discount sounds tempting, I would prefer to pay your the normal price for one of your perfect date wheels. Please keep us updated on when the "corrected" date wheels are available. Thanks!
  5. Very cool! Happy New Year Freddy! P.S. The case-back tool works great...but I need to ask...How did it get so dirty?
  6. Neat looking back! Can someone verify that this model was limited to 100 pieces?
  7. VERY NICE! However, until the sunken date wheel is rectified I'll be sticking with 6-9-12 7750 variants...
  8. VERY NICE! I'm going to see the SR-71 tomorrow at the National Air & Space Museum...Will post some photos after...
  9. Nice wallpaper! How about creating one with a SR-71?
  10. From the link below... http://www.paneristi.com/reference/vendome/mvmt/op1.html ...it states that a 6497 movement is used. I'm assuming the the difference between the 6497 and the 6497-2 is that the former lacks the seconds hand.
  11. VERY NICE!!! I have the Ti AMG version and LOVE it! Having double-sided AR makes a world of difference on these watches. Thanks for sharing the great photos...perhaps when I'm not so lazy, I'll show of mine.
  12. Did you start with a regular rep strap? Looks good!
  13. Nice collectible...Thanks for sharing Freddy!
  14. Lello, First of all, I would like extend a big THANK YOU for all of your efforts! I'm glad that I installed one of your PAM date wheels into my 087, which now is one of my favorite diver watches. Secondly, would it be possible for you to lay a BCE dial over these "defective" date wheels so that we can judge how mis-aligned the numbers will be once installed? I know this maybe a tall request, but I think it would greatly assist interested buyers in making a final decision. I'm ready to buy two of these, but I need to determine whether the mis-alignment will be acceptable. Thanks!
  15. Nice...Let us know what you discover...
  16. Oh really?!? Where did you get? Which dealer? Which did you pay? Come on...details please!
  17. Sounds like you will need to take apart the keyless works and reassemble it...It doesn't take much to misalign one of the pieces. I had a problem like the one you described. I found an ETA 7750 reference chart online and took apart the keyless works. It now works. Good luck! P.S. I believe Pugwash has a posting where he linked an ETA 7750 reference manual. Search under his posts...
  18. VERY NICE REVIEW!!! I've always liked B&M...I have two gens in my collection. I've never liked the size of the original Riviera and I'm glad that they came out with the larger versions. I will be adding one or perhaps two of these to my collection in the near future. After further comparison, this rep seems to be near perfect. Interesting how "boldness" of the text changes between the versions. See the comparo shot from Pix: Thanks again for this write-up!
  19. It's a new way to pressure test the case!
  20. That's FUNNY!!! My first "acid test" for a watch is the readability of the dial, and this AP just doesn't cut it...
  21. Great Review!!! Now where is the wrist shot? And can you tell us what size if your wrist?
  22. Thanks Gio...Great write-up!!! I can't wait see how many report back with effed-up movements trying to lay blame.
  23. For the past few days, I can't seem to take off my IWC Ingenieur Titanium Chronograph...Probably my favorite modern-design watch in my collection. For fellow Ingenieur lovers, here is a good reference and resource sight for you... http://www.moeb.ch/Ingenieur/Ingenieur_e.html Enjoy!
