  2. I was thinking (it happens sometimes) about how cool it would be if there was a thread with the prices of the most sought after reps of the moment, Steelfish, Evo, etc. If you find a Hot Deal post in the thread, if someone has had a better price from another dealer, quote the post naming the dealer and beat the price. There is a lot of difference in price between some of the dealers and we all have our preference but surely it would encourage better prices if we could quickly see the cheapest price without having to trawl through loads of dealer sites, posts and then e-mailing the ones that dont list there prices. What are your thoughts?
  3. Have not ordered from him but his Swiss SFSO is $275 which is pretty good too.
  4. Very solid advice there, I have found DSN has some quality control issues though, he is very helpfull if you have a problem and will make things right. TWP has some ace stuff and if I were you I would be tempted to see what he can do for you.
  5. None as far as I am aware. The newer red letter ones might though.
  6. Beautiful watch, I am really tempted to buy one of these. Both the BCE and the SFSO are just amazing, If I was giving advice though, I would say Eta steelfish just gets the nod, reliable accurate and good resale value. I only have the Asian steelfish and even that is a fantastic piece for the cash. If you are not sure, that may be the halfway house, if you like it punt it on and buy the ETA. The lack of AR does not really bother me but the slightly stuttery second hand has me eyeing the Swiss version. You really can't go wrong with any of these though, we are spoiled.
  7. Bought an old factory "Electric Blue" Omega Seamaster recently and decided to buy a strap for it, I think it works quite well, what do you think? Hirsch Carbon fiber with Deployment Clasp.
  8. From memory I think its a couple of hundred dollars, It gets kind of silly doesn't it. My new mantra is live with the flaws or buy the gen.
  9. At that point it gets ridiculous to carry on buying reps, a couple of reps buys a cracking genuine. I know what I would rather have, there will come a point where the sales slow enough to rein in the prices, if not it will be over for me.
  10. Thats $10 cheaper than I've been quoted, where did you get that offer?
  11. A bund type strap may open up the possibilities, you know the type where the leather is behind the caseback. Just a thought.
  12. I asked Fleed over at RWI how it is done and he said, I would need to remove the movement and remove the bezel. The bezel apparently comes off without removing the little screws around the outside, it prises off. Then the crystal should just push out. Sounds easy if you say it fast If I had half Fleed's talent I might have attempted it. He said that the bezel spring got trashed and needed to be replaced when he put it back together. I cant help you with a pictorial step by step guide but in one of his posts there is a pic of the bezel removed. http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic....light=steelfish Be careful if you decide to do it and good luck.
  13. Bought numerous times from overseas with no trouble at all, UK is a good place to ship to IMO.
  14. Contact the dealer you bought it from and see if you can buy a bezel from them. I'm not saying they will sell you one but its worth a shot. I found a post in By-tor's excellent Omega guide, detailng how to make your own pearl. Its not easy but I managed something passable after a couple of attemps, If you are good with your hands and have some tools....... http://www.replicacollector.com/members/in...showtopic=18430 Failing that, sell it to me at a ridiculously low price.
  15. U.K. is a good place for most of our dealers to ship but I take your point for some of the rest of the EU.
  16. Where you live might affect you desision but if you are looking for the cheapest, I would say Silix for the Asian and either Ruby or Trevor for the Swiss. I'm sure someone can chip in with who is the cheapest dealer.
  17. I could have shaved with my clasp and bracelet, I sat watching the t.v. one night with the strap and a piece of 1200 wet and dry. After giving it the once over it feels much better.
  18. Very interested to see these too.
  19. I'm sure it will generate some outstanding pics, Good idea.
