  1. Firefly huh? ..I'll download season 1 and check it out when I go to sea.
  2. My Nanuq Rolex Oyster Perp 'emergency watch' Surprisingly comfortable, and feels lighter than titanium on my wrist. Modded with clear PiloTape as a clasp. Quite a change from the Panerais I normally wear. Get your very own here
  3. ..why even bother being annoyed? They are making money.. It's 'entertainment'. ..reality takes a back seat as long as people are watching it. I watch stuff to pass time, or when I am out of books to read.
  4. I have the same problem, ajoesmith. Earlier this week it didn't work at all, or it was extremely slow and I had to try uploading the same image several times. I have the same issues with imageshack.. so it could be me. I am just going to start using webshots.com if this keeps up.
  5. Looka a mighty lot like a Panerai in these shots.. ..but I suspect he's got more watches.
  6. Yeah.. a celebrity like her SELLING a watch.. Can't you just see the advertisement? "2 watches for sale: Selling my skull- and blue/gold Rolex to fund a watch with one of those nifty hands that show you the time in greenwich village and also to pay for rehab." -Lindsay-
  7. Or, if you're like Ms Lohan, and can't afford a GMT/World Time watch, you do this:
  8. I had my 111h on a rep deployant strap, and it's like a different watch! The signature watch: The Dexter Sinister PDVCL-007 'Vice', a quartz chunk of steel.
  9. Mine is the same.. Only with 2-3 other faults.. And it's all rickety all around the clasp. The diver's extension was messed up too, and the through-pin is loose. It was great for 6 months or so, but hard use did it in. I bought a 20mm NATO Bond strap and threw the bracelet in my box-of-parts. You can always get a cheap replacement somewhere.
  10. Have a safe and beautiful trip Nanuq, and beware of the.. ..mountain things. I'm sure there are several lurking up there.
  11. A size chart for you: Here ..also a site with some nice straps.
  12. vbarrett, you mean my been-at-sea-for-6-weeks-not-getting-any-sun-yet-this-summer complexion? You are much too kind ma'am, and allowed an opinion you certainly are.. I'm starting to like it myself actually, it's a different look from the SS bracelets I normally wear. Today I got some buckles for my V-straps.. The Sicily and the Venice. I decided to try the Venice on my 111h, it's just a little too tight, but I couldn't be happier with it! It's like a new watch, and it's going to get a lot of wrist-time.
  13. I wanted mine so bad, the blue dial Samurai Ti, but I can't help it.. I'm just not a fan of titanium watches.. So I have decided to try to sell mine here in Norway. It's still looking good 'cept for some scuffmarks on the edge of the insert. Neel.co.jp sell these inserts for around $20.
  14. I just got a G10 'Bond' strap from timefactors, so I'm trying it on my beat-up SMP GMT that has a broken bracelet. ..still not sure I'm loving it.
  15. Oh yes.. the SZET002 ..drooled on it for days, and contemplated selling my Samurai Ti to fund it.. I even mailed a few unitelligible mails back and forth with Neel.co.jp. Then I found out it's 38/39mm.. ..what a disappointment. I think it's a beautiful watch though, if only they'd make it in 42mm +..
  16. Please.. you know it's bullcrap. ..why do you even bother asking? This is how rumours are spread.. You're not helping. God forbid that the Panerai name should be associated with 'gayness' in the negative sense it's meant here.
  17. Yes, we're a lot of Norsks here.. And I would like to include scots.. Quite a few of those here too.. Or maybe we are the worst loudmouths pr capita and thus stand out?
  18. It's just one of those things that are "That's just the way it is.." I guess. I don't think it's about stereotypes or anything like that, but when I saw a wristshot from a dark skinned person on here I thought "Hey, a black guy!" This is without doubt the most intelligent and diverse online community I have been part of, and we have every kind here.. "There were wackos and weirdos and dingbats and dodos, athletes and movie stars and David Allan Coe, there were leather and lace and every minority race.. With a seat in the RWG show.."
  19. Here is a link to a similar topic we had last year.. With a bit of what people have done in the past too.
  20. Who would have thunk it? People are asking me how to make one! Just click this link, choose "Make a Movie" and then choose a thumbnail that you think would fit your movie. Let it load all the way before you start inserting the subtitles. Bombay TV -Ape-
  21. Don't underestimate the power of Ken!
  22. Yeah.. enough with the whole nagging people to pay.. however good your motives and argumentations are. There's been a few incidents lately. Let people do it on their own accord, with a friendly reminder from the admin now and then. Including behaviour is more likely to get people to feel 'at home' here, and thus want to contribute, both financially and knowledgewise.
