A buddy has the t-touch, and the built-in gadgets are fun, but I still think your watch looks much better. ..and if you really have to rely on your watch for bearings, you're probably in more trouble than the t-touch can handle anyway.

Nice piece, cornerstone! I have been considering one of these myself for the compass. It looks so much better than the T-touch!

Time for a little update! Well, I have been working hard on the house this stint at home from the sea, and we've made good progress. This week we put the windows in, and I finished painting the cladding and other stuff that's supposed to have paint on it. It's really taken shape the last 5-6 weeks, and we're beginning to see the fruits (and faults) of my drawings. Money is flying, and it'll be interesting to see what the final amount will be. Here's a pic of the back of the house. I haven't been able to snap any decent ones of the front, but here's one. We found out now that we made the bay windows too short.. (my girlfriend was right) I'd like them longer, but when the side windows, the little half-roof and the columns come up we'll see how they look. Lastly a pic of what will be the living room. I figure we're about half way in the build now, and already I can say I never want to do this again!

Haha! Yeah, 'Bangla Bangers', search for it on youtube, he makes some wild looking cars. I ordered two of these watches from Sash, the sole reason being that they look good. I don't give a [censored] what people think about it being fake. Sometimes, when I am in the mood, I cook up stories like TTK's, for fun. There are people in norway that can afford the Ferrari cars but choose not to buy them because they think it will make them look like a flashy git.. That's sad, really.. And people should stop caring so much about what people think of them. If you have to relate every replica you buy to something you own, your persona or your image you will either have to be a schizophrenic or be content with a pair of pieces. So Frankpower88, I think you are giving this too much thought, and please don't look down your nose at people who don't. Just buy stuff you like. For the record, I did own a Fiat, and I still drive a Jeep.. ..Enzo Ferrari said something along the lines of: "There's only one true american sports car.. ..the Jeep."

You're a good friend! I would also without a doubt go for the orange Seiko monster. It's a gift that will last your friend for years and years, it looks cool and it's 'bulletproof'. I would be a little wary of buying someone a rep as a gift.

Beautiful watches, FlavorFlav! I see the yellow really makes the dial stand out a lot more than the one with the silver Ferrari emblem. I'm thinking about buying a couple of these myself. Does anybody have an opinion on upgrading the cheaper 21j FE10001, and buying the non-chrono 7750 version (The FE10003 on Josh's site)? ..is the 7750 a more reliable movement without the chronos?

Storms are like spice in the boring life of a fisherman, Nanuq! Although the boats I work on are larger, you feel pretty damned small looking up at a wave-crest 8-10 meters above you.. ..hoping that the last passing wave will lift the boat so you don't get smashed by the blue stuff.. Even though every cubic meter of it weighs a ton, landlubbers are always amazed over how much damage it can do to a steel vessel. We had a few bad storms in february, as we are trawling in the north atlantic 200 miles west of the Hebrides/Ireland. The weather the last few days has been spectacular though, and I want to show you how nice it CAN be out here. That's 800,000lb of fish in that trawl, a good haul, and normally done twice a day. (yeah, it does sound more impressive in lb than in tons)

Good news nanuq, I hope it's smooth sailing ahead for your family. Other news: Most norwegians these days know how much money they overpaid as last years taxes, and we get that sweet green sheet saying how much the country now owes us.. This year it was particularly good news for me, as my 36% income tax left me WELL in the green. My condolences to those in the red, and pardon my gloat. It's funny really.. It's my money, but it feels like I've won a little every year. Most important of all: My family is healthy, happy and well. Also: The weather people have predicted the best summer in 70 years, my house is on schedule, fisheries and prices are spectacular and it looks to be a great year overall!! This is a happy ape I wish you all good fortune and happiness -TG- PS: I scored a Boss OD-1 on the bay the other night, been wanting one of these for a long while, since my first one got stolen. (you geetar players know what I am talking about)
