  1. Hiya I wanna add a gen 3035 Date Disc as an Overlay ontop of the SSD date wheel..

I don't mind the different rotation of the mvts..

Can I use the gen date disc as an overlay?

Yes, if you really don't mind the fact that the date will flip backwards every night and you'll have to flip through 30 days with the crown to set it properly every day. I can't imagine why you'd want to do that.

  2. I agree this is definitely the best case around.

It's the bracelet that's the problem. The etaswiss case is a good case but it's really just the case that is good. The bezel is still a bit too thin, slighty better than TW bezel.

For $460+shipping, only the mid case is good. If you put a SA3135 inside you are around 850$.

And you still have to add a gen crystal, insert and crown, new bracelet..

    That's too much money.

Anyway I'm buying one, even if not very cost-effective :)

I did the same math--I wanted to drop in the parts from my BK TWs, but it's just not cost-effective.

If I buy a Sean case for just the midcase, and put in a 2892 + the WM9 dial and hands from my TW, I don't really have enough parts left to do a good build on the TW case to sell it.

  3. I've since left it on through Chicago, Honolulu and Phoenix TSA stations many times, no alarm. I'd have to bet a genuine would do the same, and that means there is no reason to take it off and chance losing it.

I always take mine off (habit, mostly) but I also always put it in my bag. I never put anything loose in those bins--wallet, phone, ring, watch, keys all go in my laptop bag.

  4. So what will happen to the TW sub now? That one is over 600$ right? Or am i wrong?

Guess tw sub is history/dead now?

The other thing BK has going for him is several years' worth of track record of delivering what he promises and not disappearing with peoples' money.

I'm a bit suspicious of this TC Submariner, to be honest. Too many things look identical to the old WM9 watches for my comfort. He has shown a WM9 case before, and the 2678 is the old WM9 v2 movement.

Could be he found the guy that bought the old WM9 production, could be a coincidence... or he could be George trying to re-start his business. We'll have to wait and see. Personally, I'd much rather pay a small premium to BK (who I trust) than send $400+ to a new builder who has not yet delivered a single watch. In time that may change, but it's not going to change overnight.

  5. Very interesting thread. I have a navi I'm happy to experiment with! Where can I find a nice date wheel to fit a navi fighter model? ETA or rep as longmasmit looks decent!<br />I like a idea of using house hold materials to space the layered date wheel. Very clever

On a Fighters, you have to use a different approach. There are no transfer gears in your watch, the sunken DW is due to an extra plate. You have to remove and modify the plate. Once you do so, you can just glue another datewheel on top of the one that's already in the watch.

  6. I'm sending you a wholesaleoutlet bezel assembly, so you can judge the quality for yourself :) found it in the back of my parts drawer. I switched to a TW, I like it better.

To answer the other two questions, the part numbers for the bezels on the modern 16610/16710 are the same, so everything should be the same except the clickspring.
