  1. I had free internet on Lufthansa Economy flying from EU to LAX two weeks ago and then back last week. The only problem in Economy is lack of space to put your laptop in front of you...unless you have a micromachine. To me food sucks on all airlines...if you can't afford first class. It allways reminds me of field meals we had in the army...
  2. It would be nice if we all were at liberty to chose our mask... not in my experience though... you play a part to satisfy a real or concieved demand...for the perfect husband or wife...the perfect friend...the perfect co-worker... the perfect salesman...whatever. Some of us more... some of us less. Whoever does no participate in this game at all...is a true independent and enlightened individual - en route to Nirvana and followed closely by my envy...
  3. ....this is really sad...my condolences to you and your family... the people we love are only gone if we forget them... if we don't, they can live in our hearts forever...
  4. yep, guys.... I know the feeling.... this here is mine...
  5. Looks very nice.... just minor improvements and we're there... I'd be in for one... I love PAM, GMT watches and finally a PAM with good looking date... ... this is probably just the angle of the picture but I don't see any riffle on the side of the bezel of the rep...
  6. I'm wearing my 183 which has just recovered from a heart transplant. I absolutely love this beautiful movement. Trusty's engraved swiss 6497 with working swan neck... it runs so perfect... only a couple of seconds a day...out of the box, no service...
  7. I had this strange vision for a second...I was a beer...gotta see a doctor...
  8. Antonio... very beautiful..... and ... the watch is nice too
  9. Well...the question here is...do you get the real picture if you make a judgement based on what someone WANTS you to see? Not everyone with body painting is an active member of the hells angels and certainly not everyone in Armani is a distinguished gentlemen. We all wear masks for various reasons and the truth may be very different from the visible picture...
  10. I personally don't believe in judging books by their cover and I don't in my small little world, but it is still a concept deeply rooted in people's minds. So while I agree that it's crap, I do not think it's over yet...
  11. Believe it or not... I sometimes carry a second watch in my bag to the office.... I do often change my watch in the evening.. (other than that, I'm a nice guy though )
  12. This is soooo true.. Whenever I follow the heated discussions on rep flaws and how easy this or that rep could be identified as a fake I think the same thing: If you are the kind of guy/gal who looks like they could afford to wear a gen and you wear your rep with selfconfidence, nobody, not even an AD will suspect your watch is a fake as the level of acuracy of most of the good quality reps that are sold these days is just amazing. If your 18 or 20 or get out of your rusty subcompact, that's a different story...as the picture just doesn't feel right. (Notwithstanding a couple of 20 something dot com millionaires... ) I've been addicted to watches for more than 30 years and I have quite an extensive collection. I never pass the window of a dealer without looking, I buy watch magazines and collect catalogues. I sometimes change my watch several times a day. Although I consider myself to be a watchoholic, I had never heard or read the word "rehaut" before stumbling upon my first Rep Forum early this year. Before I absorbed all the information available on these Forums, I probably could not have spottet the watch that I am wearing today (TTK's Noobmariner) as being a fake and that is me, a watch-fan for most of my life...
  13. Today, it's TTK's 16610 Submariner aka "the Noobmariner". I pulled it from the famous golden pouch this morning.... As they say "patience is a virtue" ....it was well worth the wait.
  14. it's because it's a swiss 7750, not an asian one.... the datewheel (font and position) is the only difference between the two that you can see from the outside. The other test is the date quick-change at 10:00h. On the asian movement, it's nonfunctional...
  15. Schwarz Etienne GMT (gen) on a recently acquired 22mm black Nato strap from Time Factors (thanks to Pugwash for sharing that source...)
  16. oh yeah...afraid indeed...who knows, this virus might be contagious If you ever need a place to dump all this crap (lol) I'd volunteer....
  17. Good idea Mickey...@chronomat... if you're interested, I could probably do that as I have that gen Tudor Prince Chrono and a rep Daytona sec@6 with asian 7750. I could measure and post side-by-side. Let me know...
  18. let me know if you need gen pictures for reference...this is one of my favorite watches...reliable, durable and beautiful.
  19. holy shooot...that must be the mother of all bling... i better put on some glasses
