  1. Hi, i swapped my display back on my rep for a gen Moonwatch back and it fits perfect. Any of the Seagull handwind reps seem to fit gen casebacks and vice versa. Sorry but don't want to get rid of my clearback. P.
  2. Hey Freddy, Yup you're right hands are on the way to me so lets see what can be done... P.
  3. Hey Rosnik, can't see the pics anymore, can you fix? got one on the way and would like to see yours... P.
  4. Haha yeah mate.. the hands are crap and are bugging me. Got some gens in the pipe but not sure if i can modify for the Seagull.. will show it off sometime soon P.
  5. Hi. Can anyone tell me the hand size for the Seagull manual wind movement or if a set of gen hands from an Omega calibre 861 will fit. Cheers P.
  6. A Fedex bloke by the name of LLucky knicked it i reckon....
  7. Pretty strange for him to decide it doesn't fit when he hasn't actually tried. There is a groove in the case under the plexi (crystal) for a gasket but usually an MBW won't have a gasket in there but you cannot possibly see this unless you remove the plexi. And its not a problem not to have it. Take it back and tell him to try the actual process, its not rocket science. Cheers P.
  8. The picture maybe a gen but you won't get one that's for sure. He works out of Guangzhou, China. Birthplace of fake everything... P.
  9. I called this guy out on the Speedmaster and brought it for around 12% of his asking price. Watch arrived today, its the same as Pug reviewed with the domed acylic crystal which you cannot buy from our dealers anymore. Yup he's trying to pull a fast one but no complaints about his service that for sure... just hope no-one falls for it with his other reps. P.
  10. Yeah nice watch indeed.. and while i'm here guys if any of you has a spare solid back for a speedy, moon landing or other pls pm me. Cheers P.
  11. Hi Guys, I'm sure i'm not the only one but i'm always losing the the screws and flat pieces of metal (see pic) which hold the eta movement in place. Can somebody tell me who sells these in bulk so i never need go searching on my hands and knees again... Cheers P.
  12. The bracelets starting at 0.99 are crap, don't waste yer time. They're nothing like the ones i recommended so please don't buy one thinking they're the same. Oliver, $70 bucks is a little high but better than $500 for the real deal huh? and there's not much choice out there... P.
  13. Hey tmg, looking good but guess you going to have to shave the dial to get it to fit in the MBW case, no? Also i got a good technique for getting yer new hands to match the great looking lume on yer dial. lemme know if you need. Cheers P.
  14. Yep, ebay links don't work anymore- go to ebay and type in Rolex rivet- or item #260153270906
  15. hiya, anyone in need of riveted bracelets should try these. I brought a couple and they're pretty good... http://cgi.ebay.com/RIVET-OYSTER-STRAP-BRA...1QQcmdZViewItem P.
  16. Great, thanks guys i will post some more pics once its finished. Not for sale just yet this has been a tough one to put together better enjoy it a bit first.. P.
  17. Hey guys, i'm putting together a franken Tudor sub but can't decide which look to go for. Waddaya reckon is best....? P.
  18. Hey Freddy, i don't intend replacing it but if it gets damaged i'm sure it will come out using a pair of pliars and if its knackard it won't matter... P.
  19. Yup you should be fine if you tap it with a rolex tap and fit a OEM tube. You can get both from Clarks or Ofrei. You'll need a gen crown too of course.
  20. Mmm just opened the pics up side-by-side and i do believe it is the right crown. Sorry for confusion. Good luck finding a tube. I need one too but if i find two i get one for you.. P.
  21. Hey Drop, no this is the wrong crown check out this topic http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...0sub&st=20I on page 2 there is a pic of the crown you want. But the tubes are really hard to find. P.
  22. Hey guys, had that problem when i installed the same tube in my red sub. You gotta have extremely clean threads so you can screw the tube down all the way with just your fingers. Use the CORRECT rolex tap to clean the case threads. Once this is done you should be okay. No way should you use any tools to insert the tube or you'll damage it they're quite delicate. I then used Epoxy 330, a molecular connecter used for glueing metal, glass etc and let it harden under a heat lamp then left it 24 hours before screwing a crown on it. Works perfect, tested the case and its swim proof but wouldn't put it under pressure, ie diving. Hope this helps. Cheers P.
  23. Hey guys, Saw a 2nd hand LV for sale on the board and thought i'd bite the bullet and get a modern sub, its been a while since i owned one of these. I can't believe how good these new subs are straight out of the box and its not even an MBW. Its a Josh "perfect sub" and apart from the insert and the date being slightly to the right there's not much i can see wrong with it. I put an OEM tube and original crown in and can't see much else to do. So if any of you eagle-eyed modern sub experts can reveal any more flaws please let me know i'm not used to getting a new rep and not pulling apart to mod it. Cheers P.
