  1. Not sure a Stilty datewheel will work on any of the 1655's we have built or are building. Lani, is the dial gen spec and where did u source the case? Cheers P.
  2. CWP is Classic Watch Parts from Hong Kong. Had the pleasure of picking some dials up from Micheal (the boss) in person over the holidays. A very nice chap wearing a mint gen Red Sub, very nice indeed... I'm using the Trusty case so i had him re-do the Trusty dial because its impossible to get an aftermarket dial to fit, they come up too small. The original Trusty dial is too crap to use. you can see CWP at classicwatchparts.com Cheers P.
  3. Awesome piece, a great job all round. I just recieved my dial from CWP so gonna get mine together asap. If it turns out this good i''ll be well happy... P.
  4. Nice one Stilty, i'm in for 2 modern 4 vintage (2 silver 2 white) Cheers P.
  5. Hi Marty, I have a Jaeger-le-Coutre V72 and although i'm not sure of the exact measurements it seems that most aftermarket hands to match a daytona from DW, Phong etc need broaching. The hands i recieved from Phong needed broaching and after reading a lot from Freddy, avitt and other members it seems others do too. Cheers P.
  6. oh lordy, imagine carrying a case of watches like that down the street.... scary! Thanks for sharing Freddy that's awesome... P.
  7. Hey Chris, 1.2mm is the correct size drill to use for springbar holes.... Cheers P.
  8. Hey Bobby nice job, is that an MBW base? Good work my friend... P.
  9. She's a beauty and a Superdome no less P.
  10. Finally managed to get my girlfriends Explorer 1 off of her to photograph. I brought it for her off Frank and replaced the dial with a gen, put on a better clasp and gave it a polish. Voila! thanks for looking P.
  11. Thanks Freddy, same goes for your 6542. A way more difficult model to rep, a great effort as usual. How's the movement build going? i see the Ofrei one on Ebay got no takers in the end.... Cheers P.
  12. Here's my Silix based 1675 with a ClassicWatchParts dial and a gen bracelet.... thanks for looking... P.
  13. Case is all wrong on the 6263 rehaut is way too deep. Wouldn't go there if you want an accurate 6263. Newman looks better but you might not get what you see. Cheers P.
  14. Awesome post Toad, thanks for putting it together. On the very last leg of my project waiting for the dial to come back from CWP. Your info is gonna be very useful.... Cheers P.
  15. I used an Ofrei version, works well for me... P.
  16. yeah bertieng you don't wanna have to sand down that gen LV insert that cost you a fortune, right? hehe! P.
  17. Haha! i like that, thanks! The MBW 1655 dial i recieved off of Chris is smaller than the gen by around 0.5mm and will only fit a 5513 case. I guess you have the older version which TMG used on his 1655 which is larger than the gen and will fit a rep case. Good luck with the project looking forward to seeing it done. P.
  18. Nice one Lani, i'm also in the process of building one and TMG has been a great help to me too. Just wondering.. the dial you're looks very much like an MBW dial (Chris supplied me one too) but they come up smaller than a gen 1655 dial so which case are you using? Cheers P.
  19. Nice one Flex i"m looking at going to Saigon in December. What prices are the 1655, 1680 cases and dials these days...? Cheers P.
  20. Go get yourself a large cup of tea and search "DW6263" on the forum. There's tons of stuff and loads from Freddy, our DW guru. After a few hours you'll be hooked big time. Have fun! P.
  21. That's cool... congratulations! P.
  22. Awesome watch, congrats! I'm in the process of building one myself so tell me, did you just use the one case clamp to secure the movement with the stem doing the rest? I've clamped my movement in the same place as yours, it seems this is the only way i can do it with my V72 but it works... Cheers P.
  23. Nice one Dizzy i'm in the same boat and still floating... i have some spares, bracelet V72 stems, bezel, crowns etc. I'll pm you the details if you interested. Cheers P.
  24. forget it. Use the dealers on this forum...
  25. Fyi I got a gen 6mm twinlock crown and it fits perfectly on the Trusty rep tube. But not sure if its a 24-600 cheers P.
