I brought the Canon G10 just to photograph my watches and its awesome. The pics below were taken with it using a couple of reading lamps from Ikea.

Thanks guys really appreciate your comments...
gplracer: The dial fits the MBW case perfectly as its made to 5513 specs with the engravings correct. (except they're lazered)
Freddy: I've been shooting my whole collection so watch this space

I think its a gen. You can always tell by he sharpness of the Rolex crown. Very few re-dials every get the printing a sharp as Rolex do.
99% sure its a gen.

Had some rare time to myself this week and so decided to try and nail the art of watch photography. I finished this 5513 a while ago but this is its maiden show on the forum.
Specs are:
- MBW case
- Gen glossy tritum 5513 dial
- Gen insert
- Matching Tudor hands
- Gen T19 superdome
- Eta slowbeat 2846 with date mech removed
- Gen tube and crown
- Hollowlink Oyster bracelet cobbled together for bits n bobs
Thanks for looking

That's a nice clean movement and a perfect donor watch. As for its origins it may well have been put together as a one off. It has no markings on the bridge which could mean the movement came direct from the factory and put together by a watchmaker.
Good luck with the project

Hey guys,
actually the 1680 and 5513 cases are different in that the 5513 dial is smaller than the 1680 dial. The MBW sub case is based upon the 5513 meaning that if you use a gen spec 1680 dial for the 1570 it will need to be trimmed to fit the MBW case. This means the dial markers become shorter and is a dead giveaway. IMHO building a 1680 with a gen 1570 means investing in a Phong case or build a 5513.

Thanks. Cost in the region of 650-700 usd. Its has custom made dial and a gen crown, gen Jubilee bracelet and gen tropic. But most of all a lot of work which unless you can do yourself you have to find a watchmaker who you can work with on reps.

Cats, this is correct handstack on vintage GMT's ... Nice looking gen 1675, later version maybe mid 1970's. Case looks like its been well polished but a good example. Does it have service history or papers...?

You'll have to drill your existing case holes with a 1.2mm drill bit for them to fit.
