On the classic SSDs (not the BP or superlumed Ultimates) is there a way to remove the bezel without damaging it or the insert? I don't think these pop out like gens do, correct?
Thank you for the help!!
I have had 2 MBWs both with faux HEVs. One was an obvious tell while the other, I couldn't tell. I guess it depends on your particular watch and your tolerance for such things.
Lovely watch! The 1016 is the watch I keep flirting with, the smaller size being a concern. Can someone post a pic next to a Sub? I have an 1803 which I find on the smallish side. Half way though the day, I get used to it.
Thanks
I think these "watch makers" don't realize the value of our watches. Most people think "canal street $25."
I had a similar experience. I was referred to someone locally a few years ago. I handed him 2 watches. I only wanted water pressure testing. He understood these were reps (a MBK 1665 with gen crystal and insert and BK GMT II with gen Pepsi insert). He said to come back the next day. I said okay. He took both watches and just tossed them into a drawer! I said to be careful. He answered they were not real. I said they are as real as the shitty watches he sold in his shop and cost twice as much if not more. I took my watches and left.
Best solution is to use the modern here. There is risks, shipping, etc... But sometimes, that's all we have.
I had a WM9 two-tone sitting in a beautiful box. First time I took it out, I noticed it had tarnished. Put it back in the box and a couple of weeks later, I took out and more tarnish! I was shocked!! I cleaned it with some product I forget the name and since then, I keep that watch in a Rolex green pouch. Have never seen a spec of tarnish on it since.
Strangely, I think it was the box!
