  1. I wouldn't. As others Have said you have to clip the feet and kill the value of the dial.
  2. Wow! A gold Franken! Congrats!
  3. Very nice. Also on my to-build... That dial does look great.
  4. I've got a bracelet with one extra link. Problem is, the screw is as stubborn as i've seen one. Any ideas on what to do? I have no other options except swapping out the bracelet!
  5. 25k for a red Sub? Never! They sell for $8k-$9k. And, that's assuming someone knows the difference b/w a red and a white! Even a double red SD sells south of $25k
  6. Thanks, I thought so because of the slightly larger opening of the mouth. I will have to examine the hands carefully and try to post some pics.
  7. Pepsi on all the time as well. I keep meaning to buy a spare Coke insert as I don't like the all-black insert.
  8. Nice. So, it no longer "transforms"?
  9. I've finally gathered all the parts for my silver-dial 6263 vintage Daytona. Many thanks to a few members here who helped me source the various parts. Nothing too crazy so far, the usual gen crown and crystal. Everything else is from DW. I would like your opinion on the coronet swap I want to make on the dial. I've come close a couple of times on a gen service dial but each time it went for higher than my wallet would allow! I've got 2 gen coronets extracted from other dials. Please let me know which is best. Keep in mind that I am also building a 6239 or 6241 PN Daytona with a V72 I sourced. Which ever you feel fits on the appropriate dial. Here are the 2 coronets: I also have 2 sets of hands. I am not sure which would be more appropriate for this dial. I will try to get better pictures but it appears as though one set has slightly more luminous area than the other. Would appreciate your input on which is better for this dial. Here are the parts - not pictured is a gen 78350. The case looks pretty good. I'm not as detail-oriented as some members here so I can live the few flaws. The bezel. I have a few of these - one in really bad shape. This is the cleanest one I have. A damned good DW dial . Remember - which coronet pictured above should replace this one? Also, should I vintage titium relume the markers? The movement will be donated from this beautiful watch. We have seen this one before. 2 Pics below are not mine. Much gratitude to a very classy member here. Thanks for looking and the suggestions.
  10. Beautiful set... I am envious!
  11. LOL! Before continuing to read, I thought you meant 50 lbs! As in, 50 lbs of rotors!! In my head, that was a "wholesale lot" It's still early in the morning!
  12. What a waste of money to drop into a construction site! Imagine the families that coud be fed with this.
  13. Oh boy! Happened to me a few weeks ago on aonther forum and it really threw my paypal account into a tail spin. Luckily, the buyer and I resolved it but the PP claim was opened within 24 hrs of the watch being received. I learned a valuable lesson. Even though everyone deserves a start, I will now deal with veteran members and only if I cannot sell will I move on. I've always been a first come first serve guy. No more! Hopefully, it all works out for you, Sneed.
  14. I see nothing wrong with this. But are his "genuine" parts really genuine? I'm watching this with interest...
  15. Really diggin the ss serti I long drooled over the Project X watch. But, how many black faced watches can I manage!!! As for the TT idea, already have a WM9 TT!
  16. A couple of bubbles at the crown... Should I be worried?
  17. Interesting... Is the gen on stainless steel? How flashy is this in real life?
  18. I'm waiting to receive a modded BK TW LV. I already own a stock BK WM9 LV but given the non-existent demand as evidenced by several FS threads, I'm thinking of converting it into something else Any suggestions? I wouldn't mind something unique. I could always re-sell just the dial and insert and end up with a... What is an interesting submariner model? Cartier? Panama canal? If this was a spare SD, i think i would go with a Polizzia di Stato dial!! Has to be something that would be appropriate to the 16610 case. Who knows, I could always drill lug holes. Interestingly, I do not have a basic black dial sub. I prefer the SD. Please help! Pics would be great if you've got 'em!
