    B~~...

Nice shot, Joey. This was my take on the Goldfinger scene shortly after I completed the project a few years ago I chose to fit the bracelet instead of the Bond-style strap to be sure people knew it was a new pic & not a screenshot from the movie
  2. The result, in this case, is due to the application of 2 shades of boot polish & a few minutes in the oven with my chocolate chip cookies. Be careful not to burn the cookies (or the paint).
  3. Gen with repainted dial that received a bit of enhanced patination.
  4. Nice tip, but more useful are Toad's 'Hey Noob' guide & our own RWG 'forum rules!', both pinned atop the main Introduction/Rules/Support forum. That forum should be your 1st stop when arriving at RWG as it contains answers to most of your questions & will reduce the likelihood of your making the most common mistakes (like asking 'What is the best............?', which is addressed in the Posting section of our rules).
  5. NDT & Phong. I suggest you search/research both before making a purchase. Neither sellers' products are perfect (or consistent) & you will need to choose the case that contains the least objectionable sins & fits your needs best.
  6. Rolex out of style? Never been in the nearly 30 years since I have been collecting. Vintage Rolex watches may not have been as valuable as they are now, but they have never been out of style. The thing is that younger men tend to follow fashion, not style - 2 very different things (fashion is temporary, often changing with seasons &/or the wearing habits of celebrities; while style is permanent).
  7. Outstanding, Ubi. The cases all look the same. Would you care to disclose their source?
  8. 7206, which is what they were originally sold with.
  9. Read this & number 5 under Posting.
  10. Outstanding collection.
  11. Great pic, but it looks like your hands (especially the hour hand) are rubbing against the dial because they are installed too low on the pinion. Eventually, if you do not have them reset higher, they will remove all the paint. There is little you can do about the paint that has already been rubbed off, but at least you can stop additional loss.
  12. New & aftermarket.
  13. Yes. There is a thread here somewhere that contains a short video I made showing how the GMT function on my rep works (you can probably search it out), but, due to its finicky movement, it is best not use the GMT function.
  14. Yes. It works exactly like the gen GMTIIC.
  15. The original run of GMTIIC reps (5 years ago) had CHSs & GMT hands that functioned just like the gens. Unfortunately, many reported the movements to be time-bombs, but, fortunately, mine has continued to run without problems
  16. Some kudos to photobucket. Apparently, I was not alone in my complaints to them as they just informed me that they will be removing the infinite scroll feature & reinstating page views at the end of the month. Not exactly a panacea, but this does eliminate 1 of the silliest things to hit the web ever (infinite scrolling).
  17. Andrew's description for 0083 does not specifically indicate that the cyclops is AR'd, but it is in the pics at the bottom. However, the pics include 2 watches, 1 with AR & the other without it & he does not say whether the AR'd watch is a new rep or a gen for comparison. Also, the AR'd watch looks to have the correct handstack order & his description does say the GMT is independently adjustable. If 0083 does have proper AR on the cyclops & the correct handstack order, this would be a definite move in the right direction.
  18. The Sub dial is pretty good (though I would relume it), but I do not like the crown or fonts on the SD dial.
  19. Brilliant pic!
