Understanding that no aftermarket part (including cases) is perfect, differences between the better aftermarket cases are minimal & pricing maximal, this seller's 6263 case probably has the fewest sins.

I have not done a side-by-side comparison with Phong's, but since these are nearly indistinguishable from the last version gen, the only thing I can imagine that would best them is an earlier version gen (with flat-top 4s - the only thing, in my opinion, these lack).

Mine came from a US seller, but I do not remember his ebay handle.

Probably me. I did a comparison a year or 2 ago that you can search out. I have 2 of them on DW cases & they are nearly identical to the last series of gens (I would have a hard time telling them apart on an otherwise accurate 62xx Daytona)

Ditto Jkay, but you can achieve the same effect (at much lower cost) with a Dremel, soft buffing wheel & rouge (green rouge for stainless steel).

You have to stop believing all the sales hyperbole you read on dealers' sites. If you want a correct fit between a gen end link & case, get an MBW (or gen). None of my gen bracelets or end links fit my high-priced aftermarket cases perfectly (DW, Phong or Yuki - I do not have any NDT cases, but I am sure they are the same). However, they all fit the MBW cases that preceded them (but the movements & just about everything else fit the aftermarket cases better, which is why they usually get switched).

Wow, this is the 1st time I have heard of complaints about ladies' Rolexes. I have given 2 of them as gifts myself (both vintage models that I overhauled 1st) & neither owner has voiced a single complaint in the past 2-3 years.

Properly serviced, neither movement is better than the other. But a gen movement will do 2 things an ETA cannot do - 1. It will increase the watch's resale value & 2. It will give the wearer (your wife) the confidence to walk into any AD with impunity, which, to most women, would be worth the additional price alone. Also, at some point, like most of us, you will regret damaging a gen dial (to fit the ETA) instead of going all-gen, which will ultimately cost you more when you end up buying the wife a gen.

Considering who it is for & where the watch is now (ie, how much you have already spent on a franken), why not go all the way & complete it with a gen dial & movement?

Already nice, but it will be a killer with the proper crown. Now if 1 of the after-marketeers would just produce some accurate ETA Mercedes handsets.
