  1. My apologies, Iceberg. I do not know who you PM'd, but we usually try to respond, even if only to say it may take a few days to respond with a final answer, within 48 hours.
  2. Yes, they were fitted with 703s & that is a bit odd. But without a full-frontal of the crown & side view of the tube (with crown in the time-setting position), I cannot say for sure that that is not an early version 703 (I have never seen definitive evidence of where the cut-off between wrapped & solid crowns began). Here are a couple more known-gen 16660s with what appear to be the same crown
  3. In case LHOOQ's offer is facetious, I will take them. PM me if that is the case.
  4. Ending the work week wearing my beater
  5. Auction closed (lot sold for $64), but they look genuine.
  6. Nothing jumps out at me, but the pics are not very useful for any serious qualifications.
  7. Ditto that! I am still awaiting replacements from Phong for parts I received that did not match the pics/descriptions on his website. In 1 case, he sent me pics of a dial that I declined (printing was terrible), yet he sent it anyway with a promise to exchange it promptly if I did not like it. Many weeks later, I am still awaiting the promised replacements. You would think that, at Phong's prices, he would, at the very least, make absolutely certain that his stock matches his pics or give top priority to mistakes when they occur. (I would add a SAD face here, but no smileys at the moment)
  8. There does seem to be a problem with the editor when replying (it appears to be working when starting a new thread). Let me check on this & get back to you. In the meantime, if you are using a photo hosting site like photobucket, you can post a pic, manually, by surrounding the path to the pic with your pic's path here[\img] tags. Make sure to Preview before posting.
  9. Screw pushers generally only appear on Oyster cases (the dial should say Oyster). Non-Oyster cases have pump pushers.
  10. Sadly, that is what I thought. The watch you receive from DW is probably based on this test sample he did for me a few years ago. If/when I can locate a credible gold V72 dial, I will replace the A7750 with a V72.
  11. Did those 2 pics of the yellow gold 6241 PN above come from DW or is that a gen?
  12. Congrads. I am not normally impressed with (yellow) gold watches, but there is definitely something about a vintage Daytona that warms the cockles
  13. 'Z GMTIIC
  14. Ending the work week wearing my Aryan 'Master
  15. Nice sighting.
  16. I changed over to my '41 for dinner & still wearing it just after midnight
  17. Auto-winding (via the internal rotor or external winder) an automatic watch is preferable to daily manual-winding because the latter prematurely wears the auto-wind components. If you search the subject on most watch forums, you are likely to find many threads discussing this.
