    SM300

Do it Kryp! It's really a pretty easy one to get parts sorted. As I mentioned watchco on eBay is blowing out dials and datewheels too. Omega made a billion watches with 565 and 552 movements and they are all over eBay LHOOQ helped me get mine together!!

Don't know your answer to a whiter rep dial, but you can build a frankin and use the gen dial. You might also be able to fit a gen dial in a rep case if you have the measurements. Watchco is blowing out dials on ebay right now, never a better time to buy one. Here's my franken, VN case set, gen dial, hands, datewheel, Omega 565 movement and gen caseback. I also have two gen bracelets for it. The sm300 is a classic and one of my favorite watches.
  4. I had really hoped someone on here had bought this watch. We still don't know if it's a gen construction josh 5513 with an Hev valve ......or a paperclip bezel josh 1665.
  5. Congrats Vly! I've always enjoyed your posts!
  6. Yes, you can do that. Lots of people do it that way, but the problem is when bending the center links back...they often look sloppy.
  7. Wm pearls are inconsistent. Some of them are very good and close to gen, but most have a smaller lume area. The metal surround/cup has a slight gold tint to it also. I've ordered several because shipping is crazy $ money. I reccomend you order more than one if you place an order because you might be dissapointed and get a small one. I know nothing about their inserts, I've never seen one. This is a gen insert that the pearl shattered and crumbled, so I replaced with a wm pearl. Note the slight yellow tint to the metal surround
  8. It's Saturday and my last workday of the week! I'm going with my best watch today..1665 frankin This is one watch that still puts a smile on my face and I catch myself looking down staring at it several times a day. Even after several months.... It's still like Xmas for me
  9. Well it sold for 3950.02 I wonder if it's going into a gen case or rep?
  10. I bought this gen dial for around 160$ I think on the sales forum last year. They are also often on ebay for a bit more.
  11. (your right of course....but I still want/need one )
  12. I want one
  13. Congrats! 5000 down...5000 more!
  14. I like the way you think Freddy
  15. I agree with you star. I see a 6-700$ used watch, a very nice watch mind you, but nevertheless used. They add a gen insert maybe, and maybe a used gen crystal with chips in it...then want 12-1500$. I don't get it at all, I've never seen this here...rg yes, but not here. I don't mind paying top money if you have a real 1:1 case or gen case, gen movement and tons of gen parts and maybe assembled and serviced by zig.. I mean anyone can get a TC for 5-600$ and grab an insert for 150$ and about be done for a whole lot less.
  16. I've read there are tools for this. Possibly these from Ofrei, but no idea which ones are needed. http://www.ofrei.com/page576.html
  17. Nice!
  18. I had forgotten about that bad boy! Red for you and orange for me today!
  19. Why thank you sir! If you look closely at the top of the dial...there's a tiny free roaming little lume plot I need to get fixed. Nos gen dial from CousinsUk too.....
