  1. Here's from a good hard climb the other night.
  2. Welcome PGW, you woulda wound up over here anyway...
  3. That's a beauty, alligoat. Knowing the history of my watch, it's very likely that a mm or two have been ground off the crystal!
  4. Here's an all-gen 1665 with a service t-39. It's got a bit of a dome on top and the sidewalls appear lower. It might be that your bezel is too thin, and lets the crystal protrude further. It's hard to tell from the photos.
  5. Very nice, but the crystal is too tall ... or the bezel is not thick enough. It would look better with a service t-19 installed, to get away from the "top hat" t-127 look.
  6. I've had many Yuki 7206s, all the way back to when he first released them. I believe Minh's band comes from the exact same source, although the quality [sic] control has dropped dramatically. Yeah, keep your Yuki. It's the better piece.
  7. No .... but he should. I think it's made from chewing gum wrappers.
  8. I really needed a thin riveted band for my Gonzo 6538 build, so I took a deep breath and tried the Minh piece. If I had paid $50 for it then I wouldn't mind the work it took to make it (barely) usable. At his price it should be perfect out of the box. I sent photos showing how it doesn't fit his Minh case, and he denied that was even his case ... he avoided all culpability. In the end I got it functional, but the endlinks were bent unnaturally in the struggle to fit it into the lugs. I straightened them out, sorta, and it fits now but they have a strange, and uneven, convex curve between the lugs. I tried reshaping them with a blunt pencil eraser, to smooth out the convex bend, and it did more damage than good. Yes, the endlink metal is thin enough you can bend it with a pencil eraser. For $50, go for it. For $250 don't do it.
  9. I can't recommend them, sorry.
  10. Welcome to RWG, you'll find a lot of countrymen here.
  11. What he said ^^^ You can also look up inside the crown with a loupe and check its internal threading. A 703 is threaded halfway down on the inside so it has a smooth inner surface to seal against the outside/perimeter o-ring on the tube. A 702 is threaded right to the edge. (photo credits to Ubi)
  12. Ah Freddy that was a much much lower latitude. Else there'd be ice in and on and under the drink.
  13. Hey Dave, long time! Happy Independence Day!
  14. Admin posted in General Discussion that he will be off on vacation for 3 weeks. He should be back in a week.
  15. If I wear it at all tight, the springbars break when I do activities that bend my wrists too far. I put up with a loose fit so I don't have to worry about a potentially broken pin that might allow the watch to fall off.
  16. I wonder how long it will be until some guitar nerd sees those and has a stroke? There's some extremely rare firewood hanging there.
  17. Yeah and it's the biggest wolf I've ever seen. I had it on the floor and the fricken dog chewed some of its claws off so I hung it on the wall. I had to hang it diagonal, it was too long to fit otherwise.
  18. Not to worry, the other one's already been there and done that... he's smart enough to stick close in the woods so I don't need to even think about what he's doing when the chips are down. And he's pretty sure he's the one that bagged this big boy.
  19. What a looker. Wow. Congrats, I tried to accomplish the same thing many years ago and gave up ... my pathetic attempts became the infamous DRTRLXXLWWW (available NOW from CrazySaleMan!!) Nicely done mate!
  20. Thanks Benjamin, yeah she survived just fine. She sticks a little closer now when we go up the mountain. I've had a couple bears around recently and she really snarls at them. It's different because bears just tear stuff up, they don't hunt you. She sure tells them to stay away when we go out! Brave girl.
  21. I found the WSO bezel did not click onto the gen ring securely. So I removed it and installed the WSO retaining ring, then the bezel snapped on nice and tight. The insert is obviously not genuine, but for the guy whose watch I fixed he couldn't care less.
  22. There are a couple things about it that look "off". Plus it looks like it's fitting within the rehaut, not beneath the rehaut.
