I have not been able to read this post for awhile, as the subject is painful. I want to express to HauteHippie, how deeply sorry I am for your Mom;s passing and your Dad's decline in health. Life is a precious gift, which we often take for granted. The kind words and cameraderie of the members here is overwhelming. Really. This forum has many very fine people. Now....Good News..The doctors told me my Dad had a 1% chance of ever walking out of a hospital. I flew to Denver weeks ago to see him after a 7 hour operation. He looked so small and nearly dead.I returned to Las Vegas in agony to keep working, as life goes on, and Dad got better day by day. He was transferred back to the nursing home in Morrison, Colorado, where his feeding tube was removed, and now walks around with a cane. He is doing ok for an 80 year old fellow. I have been to Denver so mny times that my employer wont allow more time off, so Dad will fly here first class next week to live with me in my 4 bedroom home with 4 dogs. I am thankful to God for giving my Father the strength to recover from what would have killed most people. My Grand Aunt Lea lived to be 104 years. We are a family of Finlanders, who have good genes, but some of us, myself included, drink to damn much. My Great Grandfather died in a sauna, his last words were that he wanted a beer. Ha! God Bless all of you here at RWG. I am proud to be included in a place with so many fine souls. Thank you all for your support and prayers. They worked!

Another guy with 5 posts bitching about how long it takes for him to get his illegal, counterfeit watch because a few days have gone by. Sometimes I wish that our dealer friends in China ask for an IQ test before their clients are allowed the luxury of buying a watch that is incredibly authentic looking, well made, and lately, run the risk of being executed. That is the fact. The trusted dealers here are trusted for a reason Kindly do not malign them in any way, be patient and you will receive what you paid for. Otherwise, a punch in the chops may be in order.

I have been at RG for 6 years. They have always been good to me. The thing is as many rep site owners have stated, the sites are not a democracy, and if they feel their guidelines have been compromised, they reserve the right, much to the chagrin of others, to ban who they want when they want. Most site owners are basically reasonable, but adherence to the rules is prudent. Hey, I love breaking the rules, but I love these websites more.

Perhaps I need new glasses. My GMT two tone with the "super lume looks pretty good to me. I tried one on at the AD here in Vegas, "Not wearing my rep of course", and when you hold the watch, it is indeed heavier (gen) than the rep. The rep bezel is ceramic, yet the color seemed indistinguishable to me. In any event a $ 400 watch which mirrrors a $10,000 watch, is a fair deal. That is the joy of our pastime. I dare say not many of us can dispute the clearly superior quality of the factories in the last 5 years.Otherwise there would be no raids and arrests in china, and lawsuits flying around like mad. Get em while you can!!

Unfortunately, Pliny the Elder lived in ancient Roman times and was relegated to the sundial wristwatch. We have to account for the fact that a mechanical clock would not be developed for another 700 years. . Here we have Pliny the Younger. Son, of Pliny the Elder. While nearly as famous as his Dad in Ancient Roman times, The hapless younger Pliny also succombed to the same fate as Dad, a sundial wristwatch. Be assured though, that both Pliny's owned several of the finest sundial wrist watches in the Empire. They had watches made by Rolecks, Brightling, Patek Phillopious, and BVLXGARI.

Super review. The 390 is very desireable. I have so many pams. Lining them all up there is a marked similarity to them. Still, can't get enough dammit!

Sorry, this Pam is not my taste. Thje font is insipid and weak, the bezel is also insipid and weak, in fact, the entire Panerai company is insipid and weak for releasing this wholly unattractive time piece. They should all drop and do 200 pushups.

It acutually looks good, the rubber strap, however, it is not my taste for a Rolex. I do like the rubber on my Hublot.
