Thats an interesting thought....but I believe that the factories should get that right. A black/black datewindow cannot be that hard to do. As someone stated above....I can live with the white date.....but still 400$ for that one compared to the new ROO sec@12 for 570$ is now seen in a different light I pass the HBB and jump on that ROO train... cheers, Theo

Who has got this Panerai? 5218-207A White/Blue
MADRED7 replied to MADRED7's topic in The Panerai Area
I would say 260 to 300 USD depending on condition. The watch was sold for 230USD when it was out and RIVER sold his last pieces for 149USD to get rid of them...how funny is that? Theo -
...one more sentence to the antimagnetic-protection. YES, the gen ROOfs have that protection but the rep-makers did not see the reason for that addition, the height of the 7750 is bigger (as stated by katerchen) so with this protection (endeed a cover) the caseback or case would have gone to a wrong size. Easy, huh? If someone finds a pic though...post it please. theo

Some birds told me that we will see some more models coming out later.....it should be crystal clear they will do their former MBW hot-seller....the one and only, AP holy grail...EoD ....I wait for the new EoD and the rubber-clad....save some money first. Theo

As a Joe Smith has stated before ...the factories will have to re-do these datewindows to make it a SUPER-DUPER-REP. I am broke at the moment , so that helps me to wait before I pull the trigger. Theo

A TRY TO EXPLAIN THE DATE-POSITION (MBW vs. new sec@12): ...as it was suggested before. The position of the datewindow on the dial is absolutely correct, and it can only be the same position as on the previous MBW version (same movemet...base-like, and they did not move the datewheel...NOOOOO). Looking closer to my MBW

Did Davidsen come out with more accurate 44mm case set?
MADRED7 replied to milsub5517's topic in The Panerai Area
DSN seems to sell the new case-sets from now on....got a 082 case yesterday and it is the "crown-set-too-high-case" Anyway, his 201A-case is quite nice with the double-screwed lugs Theo -
WOW...this strap looks killer....I saw it advertised and emediately thought "that could be way cool for a 207A ..." Great minds think alike. One more thing you could do for an upgrade....try to grt some vintage lume for the hands and dots.....to match the stitch a bit better. I like your style....cheers Theo

Oho...thank you Richard, I thought I can wait for the black dialed version to be corrected....I fear I will order this exact one you show....NICE! Theo

eeeerrrhh, what should that be for in a rep? Well, the caseback is closed anyway....you won

I am soooo excited .... but having a full dozen of the ROOfs I have to wait untill the datewindow-issue will be solved before I pull the trigger. ...most likely I will wait a bit longer to get the Rubber-clad Theo

COPIED FROM ANOTHER POST (my own) ON THE SAME TOPIC: If you buy this bracelet version you need to get a conversion-kit to fit a strap...you have 4 options ro do so: - get an MBW strap incl. the conversion-kit (metal plots) and a nice deployant (100$ - 270$) - get an ORACLE strap incl. endlinks, a ss buckle and a screw driver, the black rubber grey stitch looks killer (249$) - get the APbands combo, conversion-kit and a strap...AAA-quality but the price is a bit higher (180$ + 100-260$) - get on the phone, call the nearest AP Service Center (Clearwater), talk to Chad and try to get the original endlinks and a strap of your taste (way above 600$ for the cheapest combo) Another option is a SIMONA strap for AP...she does these straps with plots that are covered by the actual leather in use...looks stylish...but you cannot use the endlinks alone....strap and endlinks are 1 piece! I did the Oracle-style way.....the straps (I got all 3 possible) are top notch and the price is not bad either....you are able to use the endlinks for other straps...cool-move. Theo

Thank you uncle Jay for these pics and the comparison shots....I allways knew my EoD

Where are the members with an ALL BLACK?????? Show me your pics please! Theo
