  1. If only Jay & Angel would update the datefont on their SOH.....I would send cash in a heartbeat! DOH Theo
  2. Well, dealing with them is not for those who are used to get quick answers....and answers to the questions that must be My dialogue concerning the poor OCC took 2 months.....all their answers come delayed (3-5 days) to the question posted....I sent my OCC back for repair or a complete swap.....they did a repair and sent a pic of the repaired watch (the tube and crown thread were stripped, both lugscrews stripped, dust and dirt under the crystal and on the dial, bezel was not alligned and wobbling around) the only thing I could detect from that "repaired-pic" was the fact that the bezel was still mis-alligned...and I suppose it was wobbling as well I wanted that watch for my annual holiday leave.....but they were not able to repair the watch before my leave....so we agreed a full refund! (got that refund after another wait of 6 days). All in all .... A&J are not the best communicators, their english is not allways clear....but please don
  3. If this ORIS is the same quality than my previously bought Carlos Coste I would say...No, thanks....that was the badest rep I ever owned in the last 3 years....with tons of flaws and things you can not accept. The ORIS in 47mm is not really looking that big due to the case construction....looking directly on the watch (face up) it is more 44mm. Theo
  4. Hey Dani....that looks very nice, I like your style....I had the oracle-rubber for nearly a year now and I am really happy with it. I will get one of the new sec@12 after my leave....thx for sharing. Theo
  5. OK...this is a very good topic and I am so with you all....."carpet patrol" will be in my word-pool for now....just beside "desk-diving" Well...as some of our members said before....I don
  6. WOW Lani.....thats a good read and very usable info for newbies....thx. Allthough I am not in the US, we all feel the same after the first step of sending our cash to the dealer is done. Wait is hard and after 4 long years in this hobby I still get nervous during the waitingtime A thing I will never get used to.....but also a thing I allways liked about my hobby THIS TEXT SHOULD BE PINNED FOR NEWBIES (eerrrh not mine of course).....mods, what do you think? Theo
  7. Well.....I do appreciate that the factories did come out with this model....unfortunately it is far beyond of being a nice rep.....hell, why did they come out with the HIGH-END sec@12 ROO and hit the market with this poor RBII-WANNABE only 1 week later. Thats what some would call a complete failure in marketing strategy I like the fact they tried....I hope they will come up with a RBII-2nd Edition Theo
  8. ...NO...Aarons straps come without metal-inlay. Theo
  9. @ DANI ...he is looking for EoD straps.....those in your signature only offer for the newer cases. Try www.panatime.com....they offer great AP straps for cheap Theo
  10. SOME ANSWERS: - the package inside the package was sealed with CANADA-customs tape...so I thought it might have been sitting there...anyway now its here on my wrist - I did not do any changes on datewheel (wanted Lello
  11. Dear All, just want to show some dirty and quick pics of my PAM028 and the story behind: The watch was bought some 3 years ago from the famous EL as a PAM027 (stainless steel version, plain dial). I was allways in love with the same model in PVD cause I had that watch as a gen in 2001, sold it for a fortune but regret it ever since. So I wanted to make the 027 a fine 028....I have the connection to a PVD company that did the original OP stuff from 1999-2000 and I had some pleasent project with them so far....only problem was the dial....the 028 needed a Paris-Hobnail dial (clous de Paris)....lucky me I "met" a member here online who wanted to go the other way around...he had the ss version but with the wrong hobnail dial.....mailing back and forth we decided to do a simple swap quickly....my dial was allready trimmed vintage with super-luminova-The Zigmeister-vintage-mixture....so both watches went to The Zigmeister and were disassembled .... my parts were sent back to me...I got them to the PVD company where it got the original PAM028 PVD color...and you have to know there are dozends of possible colors and shades for PVD...even OP did not manage to produce allways the same color outcome. I got all parts back some 4 weeks later and off they were again to CAN ....at The Zigmeister
  12. @CHRONOS ....there are 2 versions...corrct. We saw the "older" version from beginnig of this year...coming with a male and female Panda-dial and having a PVD bezel prtending to be a rubber one This "new" version now is different and I do have 2 confirmed mails from our trusted dealers that the bezel is endeed RUBBER....so don
  13. They have made SOME of these watches...and they need to sell. We will see several dials for the ROOfs but my guess is ... they will just do dial-variations....some LE of the ROO only need colored numbers and some slight variations (e.g. yellow numbers and PVD
  14. ....they do not see a need to fix the "flaw"....the factory convinced and proved that the datewindow (silver for the black themes) is correct as is! So the peeps will buy these watches anyway... Theo
  15. Thx UJ....never noticed that....I looked closer to my EoD
  16. @ALL ...how can you all tell from the pics that it is a rubberbezel??? I got some pics of this watch from Angus a loooong time ago, it had the PVD bezel and I did not notice it from the pics. Anyway.....the RUBBER-clad should have a rubber-bezel and rubber-strap.....if the strap (+endlinks and deployant) will be delayed for 2 months, mmmhh will I be waiting for it? Theo
  17. I was really excited this weekend....waiting for the rubber-clad version...and now??? What do I see on the dealers websites..... a rubber-version without the clad how can they dare to put a bracelet on this watch.....why did they not learn from the other versions...the datewindow is wrong!!!! OK now....I will hold my cash untill they do come up with these upgrades: - datewindow color fixed - a good rubber-strap that does not collect dust (I have the MBW rubber strap and also that one is light-years behind the real deal...too stiffy) - ....not sure about the rubber bezel....but that should be top-quality rubber as well. WAITING..... Theo
  18. ...mmmmh, I was just informed by Angus that he does not know when....mmmhh. Theo
  19. completely agree with Dani.....there is a huge difference in buying a gen plus the rep or just the rep. I never fool anyone else but myself...allways tell the peeps "its fake...what do you think I am ... Rockefeller?" But it gives you a good gut feeling to know you have the gen....simple, but I share the same feelings. Rep-business and buying reps is ONLY for me, not for showing off....I beleive there are quite a lot members here acting like that. Cheers, Theo
  20. APROO for me as well...old case style MBW:
  21. OhOh...what a post. I just came accross this cause it popped out in "headers box".....read the text and could no laugh...wanted to comment on it but at a second thought I changed my mind "no need to comment on something I do not like"....that was sad but not funny...then I saw it was started yesterday and already got 4 pages.....c
  22. Thank you Lani for the nice and sharp pics. I really do like the new sec@12 and I am only waiting for the datewindow to be adjusted into black....then I
  23. Hi Randy, thanks for the pics.....great looking piece. QUESTION: ....will the deployant clasp open with 2 pusher from the side or just snap open? Thx, Theo
