MADRED7 replied to ecsm's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Sorry....ship the watch back to the dealer or have him send out a replacement dial....no other way! -
Hey M....thats a very nice watch you have there...but wait when I post pics of my grey dialed Skyland on a titanium grey croc....I ordered that strap on the weekend and it will be made and ready in 4 weeks I hope....you will be soooo jealous (just teasing you) Wear it well.... Theo
-
Hey M... like so many times before...we share the same style...I ordered my BP some hours ago with black strap...looks amazing. Wear it well, Theo P.S.: Can I have a pic on Ola
-
I have the watch for some weeks now and the rubber bezel showed signs of wear from the beginning....the rubber chipps easely because it is only a fraction of a millimeter thin layer over a PVD
-
....looks very nice.....white dialed watches are underrated...for sure. Enjoy it Theo
-
...yes...the rubberbezel is just coated (of course)...but there is a huge difference between 0.5mm and 0.01mm
-
Thx for the pics Lani....it will be just as you mentioned...the bracelet will bring the grey dial color to stick out a bit more. I ordered a grey croc strap for the grey Skyland....and i am sure it will look amazing Theo
-
....thank you Sir for the lessons...hahaha, good one phoband, me likey Spoke to Mrs. King yesterday evening for a new purchase...allways the same funny answers...Dear friend.... Anyway, my first thought when reading J&A was Jay and Angel....but thats another story...or history lesson to be told

I asked my dealer for this model but got no response yet... But you know the deal ... the watch will show up before the track No. works Really locking forward to see reviews.... Theo
-
wonderful watch ... enjoy it...but please be careful with the rubberbezel....it is a very thin layer and will chipp fast! Theo
-
Kool_Watch....thats a cool watch Now really, I do like it a lot and it is a one of a kind....in the real world there has only been one similar watch, but with an EoD dial (done by AP as a one-off!) QUESTION: How did you manage to have the bracelet done....did the company stripped all links ???? I raise my hat...congrats, Theo
-
I asked Josh some time ago for the new Breitling racer rubber strap with new deployant....he said about 2 months time...just 4 days later he offered it for sale on his site....so much for timelines and schedules Theo

Super Ocean Heritage Chrono Divers Strap
MADRED7 replied to lanikai's topic in The Two R's Watch Reviews - Lani & Ubi
Thats cool....I ask one of our dealers if he can get me this chrono with the new rubber...he will check. And now you come up with these beautiful pics...love them and you convinced me in buying it. BTW....the strap will be removed by pressing the inner metal part (ingraved with PRESS!!!) down and get the complete strap out of the buckle to resize it....you made excellent pics of this part Enjoy it.....wear in in the wet, cheers Theo -
The describtion says "Faux PR fixed"...so the hand will not move. Anyway, as some of you allready said... A good rep for the buck. And I am about to pull the trigger for it Theo

Here is a pic of the non-bling Shaq Josh and others offer for around 3 weeks now: This is the sec@9 version and it looks quite similar to the pic you posted....why should they make a sec@12 and forget to update the datewindow??? Anyway....lets whait and see, I would be more than tempted for a good Shaq Theo
-
Yes Dani....when they started some 5 years ago their products were cheap because they used quarz movements and quality was low China version.....but in this hype-times of big watches they launched a parallel line with mechanical movements and they increased the Q a bit. Anyway, 3,000$ for a simple watch with a most simple movement? no way! BTW....how can you name your watch 1,000 of feet and only have a push-down crown ??? Theo P.S.: but I stick to my words .... if they reduce the price...I am in!
-
@ Dani But the pic you show is a normal sec@9 on the 30-minutes counter.....they just shoot the pic with running chrono! I like the "standard" Shaq without the bling-bling.....but it is sooo far away from the real one, 2mm too small in diameter, rehaut has the wrong angle, numbers are white not grey (as should), movement wrong (standard 7750 low beat) and the worst part of it and the reason that made me say NO...the datewindow is soooo ugly....too small, wrong place, lense on the dial but no cutting out for the 2 layers of dial (well, there is only 1 layer ), the font of the date is completely wrong and extremely ugly. I would buy it anyway IF the pricetag will be below 250....but for nearly 400 bucks I rather through my money out of da window Theo

Yes, he is alive. He was off for a week for business and his eMail box is completely fille....so he will take some days to sort and answer. I exchanged a mail with him yesterday (he answered my mail from 10 days ago that is ) Theo
-
....I like the watch....was thinking of buying it, but the 300$ price-tag holds me back for now. The watch is a bit overpriced for what it offers...but anyway I am into HUGE watches so this is on my list.....have only to decide for the color..mmmhhh Theo
-
...and lets presume they did not only change the datewindow-color but the dial-color as well.....lets say they really changed it into cream (allthough I don

I ordered my Skyland V2 from PreciousTime 2 weeks ago...he will ship from within the UK....so no problems there. His price is a bit higher but he will QC the watch before sending it out. Unfortunately he is currently out of stock, so if you can wait for some more days PT is just the right dealer for you. Cheers, Theo
-
....this model does not seem to have AR coating? Will this be the reason for the downprice? Theo

X5 ROO bought , X5 same Tritium (lume) problem
MADRED7 replied to SAS's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
....and not to forget the bad quality of the micro-thin rubber layer on the Rubberclad I did not face the lume-fading on the ROO -
Good to hear Rob....thats fantastic news. I really felt for you cause I have 2 friends suffering from disease akin to yours....one was a goldsmith who got allergic reactions to some metals (had to quit his job and hobby) and the other one was a watchmaker who had bad years because his retina peeled off and he had to stop work for over 1 year and is retired now. So I am more than glad you will get back to normal health soon, noone can imagine how it is to loose the chance to fullfill your live with some loved hobbies (and I don

Dear All, I am about to pull the trigger for a Breitling Heritage 46mm...the newest and updated version. But I am so unsure which color I should go for....normally I wear black or grey dialed watches....now I have to decide between blue and black. Is the blue color anywhere close to the real deal???? Will the blue rubber match the dial??? Any help, pic that makes my decission easier is deeply appreciated, cheers all. Theo
