  1. I never heard of that problem to be honest. Can you confirm it has a 2846 inside? For me it sound more like a 2824 movement in a 2836(/2846) case.
  2. I guess that is what you need: http://www.chrono-shop.net/en/calibers-spares/2511-rolex-1556-1570-1560-1565-1575-balance-complete-1556-ref-8106-sealed-in-package.html
  3. Guys, forget about that term "refinished dial". NDT, Minh etc. sell "refinished" dials, but they are simple fakes. Is it really that hard to fake the Singer, Beyeler or Stern stampings, no not really. And even if it was a genuine dial in the first place, if the old paint was removed and it's reprinted, what is left? Just a silly piece of genuine (Rolex/Singer/Stern)brass. just my 2 cents
  4. Oh, when Minh says it's all genuine but the case I trust his words ... NOT Edith: to be more clear... he claims in his mail, that everything is genuine BUT the case, then he says refinished dial (which is just another term for: fake dial) ... So the Rolex movement is gen, no doubt, but what else? BTW: What d'you want? A nice Franken 5510 or a cheap genuine one?
  5. What are you guys moaning about?? Never heard of the ultra-long dial? It's a rare version, the small brother of the maxi dial.
  6. Oh nice trading area here...
  7. I am no 1655 expert, but at least the bracelet and the dial look genuine, I'ver never seen a frogfoot rep dial.
  8. A T19 would be correct for the 1680 (if you don't want the 127). The 1680/ is a really nice watch, I love its nipple dial!
  9. Are there any dial makers, that produce the gilt dials like the original ones with the gold not printed on top of the black base?
  10. Yes they do, but you need a credit card.
  11. Where are you located? Clark and Cousins have them.
  12. SWISS - indicates that Luminova was applied (or Radium). Is there white paint on some markers (look at the 12, 2, 4, 5, 6, 11) ?
  13. Er... what? If there is a scammer around it would be nice to inform the fellow members and not to talk in riddles.
  14. When you see these pictures it is very clear who sells that Sub He is very trustworthy and experienced, well known and respected in the forums and always has some nice watches for sale!
  15. What crystal should it be? 116, 135, 127, 125? It's hard to tell if it's genuine when it's not in its original Rolex/Tudor packaging. Buy the seller!
  16. I quote myself: "I find the serifes of the EXPLORER and ROLEX text look a bit strange (look at eg the E or the R of Explorer or the L of Rolex). The 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11 hour indexes don't have sharp edges (but maybe it's just the bad lume and can be fixed). And I don't know if it's just the bad picture but it seems that the Swiss T<25 text is so fat that it almost bleeds into the minute track. The Space Dweller dials are the wrong version, they should have a - I call it a - wide mouth crown. Closer inspection, off: gap between Explorer and Oyster Perpetual, gap between Oyster and Perpetual, gap between the SC and OC text. The text of the Space Dweller look crisper and thinner, which I like. But maybe I am just anal or biased, I've never been a huge fan of yuki." Thing is, there are very few options, NDT is overpriced as well an Minh, the Ingod are better imho but difficult to fit, the Manhand ones are a.) too small or b.) have the old numerals that are wrong. Do you need a dial? Maybe I can help.

I totally understand what you are writing about emotions! What I find more annoying are hundrets of plain GLWS posts, for me thats just spam. my 2 cents
  18. Could you please take more photos, of the claps blades, the side, the links, the inside of the bracelet? The crown looks oK, better than the one from Rafflestime, but of course not like a gen (compared to the gen on my wrist).
  19. Should all Mercedes sweeping hands have a tapered tip? From the 50s to the latest SL hands.
  20. Hm, why not ... I read of people using WD-40 for gaskets or 5W30 instead of Moebius for the movement I'm not kidding
