  1. First of all I want to apologise for my initial response, it was rude, inappropriate and unnecessary. I am someone who spends the most time using the search function and spent weeks if not months reading. But okay, that's just me. However, calling me a [censored] is somewhat rude and unprofessional...
  2. Buy these hands: http://www.ebay.de/itm/ETA-2824-2-2836-2-Generic-hands-for-Rolex-Tudor-watch-gold-silver-repairs-parts-/321104440182?pt=UK_Jewellery_Watches_WatchAccessories_SpareParts_SM&var=&hash=item4ac350eb76 As far as I know gen Tudor minute hands do have a longer "line" of lume and therefor look a bit different. DW: buy a TC, would then look like a service one with closed 6 and 9s.
  3. You can only get it in exchange for the old bezel, when you are there with your gen Rolex, and sometimes they only swap it whilst a complete service (at least here in Europe).
  4. Annoying are people asking the same questions again and again... ...joined 15 days ago...
  5. Erm ... do you guys read what whoopy writes?
  6. Manhand's dials are bad as well, either they are too small or the numerals are wrong.
  7. Depends; do you badly wish a GMTII C? I wouldn't do it. Ok, the Daytona is still a Franken and the GMT-Master a gen. But, who wants a GMT when you (can) have a DAYTONA, especially if its a Zentih one. But maybe I am just biased, I hate the Ceramic models
  8. Try VRF/VRM (vintage rolex market or TRF (the Rolex forum).
  9. Nice! I have the same issue with the dial, it is to small by 0,6mm, not easy to center and to fit. The dial I received has very bad lume too. I can't recommend the Ingod dial so far, I won't use mine, but maybe I'm just too anal. But you know: "ganz oder gar nicht" (go big or go home).
  10. Gen 702 crowns, never have seen any replicate with the shown characterisics. Tubes I guess gen 7020, but not 100% sure.
  11. Are you kidding? Nice way to sneek around the sales corner aurelienconiglio! Can anyone step in please?
  12. Paypal worked 2 weeks ago ... I send you his mail address.

    1601 case!

Yes you can, but personally I wouldn't. My advice: use the search function! This topic has been discussed a few times already. But the problem is, I am a nice person, so here is one example, an Explorer built with a 1601 case. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/128495-understated-and-basic-project-1016-wrap-up/ Best thing you can do is to go through all of LHOOQ's threads: http://www.rwgforum.net/blog/9/entry-27-the-repository-of-threads/ My 2 cents: - depending on the shape (how polished) the case is, enlarging the lugholes to 1,2mm is not always possible - the rehaut is shallower compared to the 1016 - caseback is too small The 1601 out there (eg ebay) might be tempting, but to be honest, for this money there are better cases out there is one good case out there, ask JMB.
  14. Automatico, nothing to add, really... Yes they are interchangeable. I got a engine turned bezel on my 16014 which is for the sapphire version, it was very cheap so I grabbed it. And yes the sapphire version is taller but looks ok on the acrylic DJ, other way roung wouldn't work (mentioned above). I will sand down the bezel one day...
  15. Hey very cool stuff! My advice for starting with movements: grab a good camera (or anything with good macro abilities) and take a photo from above and same anlge of each step when you disassemble a movement. E.g. dial side complete, then remove parts from the keyless, stop take a picture and take a pic of the parts you just removed and move on. That's how I started, I have a few folders of different movement, each with about 30 photos of the disassembly. When I've put the movement together that came in handy. And no, automatic movements are not too difficult, my very first movement I worked on was a ETA 2671, thats a lady size movement, about half of the size of a ordinary 2824. And yes, it works ATM I'm onto chronographs, thats more difficult!
  16. Oha! You are right, well done! But I help you a little bit: When you open the internet browser of your choice and click on rwg.cc, you come to this page: now you have to grab the scroll bar to the right and pull it down or if you're a dude, you have mouse with a funny little scroll wheel in the middle, so let's scroll down together like this: you've found the "Trusted dealer" section, good job mate! but you have to go down a little bit further: wohoo, who's this "Trusty time" ? Let's be so brave and click on it: now you can see everything that belongs to his stuff, but wait, what happens if I click on "Reviews - Trusty time" ? oha, people post their opinions about him, let's find out... BUT let me introduce you to a very crazy but useful function of this site (it is quite unique ) if you decide to visit the main page again (happens from time to time), click into that promissing field: there you can type in something funny, interesting or things you want to learn about, like for a very random example "who has the best sub": OR you press on that funky gear thingy button: then you will be directed to a hidden site solely there for spending hours of searching rwg! You can even specify what you're looking for, where, the author. COOL rkq and many others out there, I hope you'll find this post very usefull and save it to you favourites! For all others, hope you enjoyed it, just because TGIF!
  17. Why don't you take one second and scroll down on the main page where the TDs are?! So please do that and what do you read there?
  18. Imho, a 16200 or JMB case works best. They have the improved bigger caseback and enough meat on the lugs. A 1601 or 16000 case has the nicer shaped lugs, but does not have the correct caseback design. You have to decide what works better for you.
