  1. I have the Pro Hunter GMT II ceramic bezel. I've loved it since I first saw it. I wasn't quite willing to pay the cartel price for this particular watch, but when a brand new Asian clone 2836 version came for sale in the trade forum for $165, I couldn't resist. I'm EXTREMELY glad I pulled the trigger. It's a real stunner!! So far (less than a week ), the movement has been great...GMT hand works perfectly...watch gains 2 sec/day. Just hope it lasts.
  2. I use this: It goes on wet, but dries in seconds leaving a silicon film. It doesn't attract dirt like oil does and won't stain your cloths if stray amounts end up on fabric. Just spray it where the bezel meets the case in a few places around the watch, quickly work the bezel around a time or two, and wipe it clean.
  3. Another option if you can't get satisfaction from George, might be to replace the dial and hands. I have a wm9 v1. I replaced the dial and date wheel with noob dial and date wheel. I plan to send it to The Zigmeister for movement service and lume. This dial and hand set have been on a few subs and removed and reinstalled many times. I recently noticed they have a few little scratches. Not really visible to the naked eye, but since I'm spending money to relume, I want the hands and dial to be nice and clean. I wrote Andrew (trustytime) and asked if he had a handset available for my ETA 2836-2 movement. He said he sells the dial and hand set for $58 USD. Perfect for my needs!! So, I ordered a set. I haven't seen them yet, but I expect them to be good quality. I know it would suck to have to sink more money into your watch, and the Andrew set would glow only as well as a standard rep, but I just thought I'd throw this out there. Good luck.
  4. EDIT - delete. Sorry just noticed I was threadjacking.
  5. I doubt these are knock-offs. The price is low, but not too far away from the deal I got in 8/08: http://www.rwg.cc/members/received-9-piece...&hl=horotec The price at the place I bought mine has gone up to $100, but I got them for $90 If mine are knock-offs, the quality is incredible. I've used them a lot and have yet to replace a blade. The ball bearings are nice and smooth too. Like I said in the linked post, my box is a little different than the picture, but I'm 99.999% sure they are the real deal (mine, I mean). My box and set look exactly like the set in this post by stilty: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Horotech-vs-Berg...&hl=horotec
  6. I believe I saw that as a double feature with "On Golden Blonde".
  7. ...And my 3 favorite Tom Cruise movies, before he got all...well..."Tom Cruise" on us: 1. A few good men 2. Top Gun 3. Taps Not necessarily in that order. Jeez...I love this thread...Just can't get it down anywhere close to 3!!
  8. I was joking before, and I don't know if I could name 3 only, but here are 3 of my favorite sports movies that nobody has mentioned yet: 1. Slapshot 2. Field of Dreams 3. Happy Gilmore Honorable mention sports movies: 8 men out, Miracle on Ice (probably need to be from USA to appreciate that one) and Blades of Glory!!
  9. Almost done...Just needs a little time at the The Zigmeister spa for the glow stuff:
  10. 1. Porky's (The trilogy) 2. White Chicks 3. From Justin to Kelly OK...Just kidding...
  11. No need to watch King's site, just watch this site. Lani always seems to get every cool watch immediately after it's released and his pictures blow away any of the dealers!!
  12. Welcome Max...Start here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/tor-s-Guide-Omega-Repl-t426.html
  13. This is exactly what I was alluding to in my earlier post. I can see the possible confusion, but take it up in PM.
  14. The only reason I've resisted buying a moon watch rep is the bad subdial spacing. A moon watch with this movement would obviously need a solid case back, but maybe another good candidate.
  15. I know a lot of people think the same way you do ammandel, and although I really like the function of the new clasps, I have to admit (not sure why I feel like I should be ashamed to admit this) that I consider the relative light weight of the 16610 subs to be something that adds strongly to it's "tool" or "sports" watch capability. And I think there is something to be said for simplicity in design. The more complex things are, the more apt they are to break and the harder they are to fix. I also like the 65 Mustang more that the new ones.
  16. Can't wait til The Zigmeister get's his hands on one of these movements!!
  17. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you should. I totally agree with you and completely understand your annoyance.
  18. Hmm...I could someone not considering you use different nick names on TZ and RWG and thinking someone stole your picture, but to post that in a public forum instead of alerting you through PM on RWG?!?! I don't get that.
  19. Yeah..I know...I think some may have misinterpreted the early comments of this being a never before seen model as a question of it's authenticity. I know your OP wasn't implying that. I still prefer the 16610 sub to this new model, but maybe in time, it will grow on me. I don't hate it, I just like the older style better. I think this is a much bigger step in the subs evolution than has been seen since maybe the introduction of crown guards. If Mickeys SS rep version turns out nicely, I may order one too.
  20. ? If this is in response to my comment about the off center date, I wasn't claiming that the cyclops is off center, I was referring to the position of the date (on the date wheel) in the date window (the rectangular hole in the dial). I never doubted the watch in question is gen, but I don't think this is a very safe means of determining gen vs rep.
  21. Hey Mickey, When you get it, pix and your thoughts would be great. I've considered this one myself.
  22. Jeez...check that date position...I guess I spent too much time trying to get perfect alignment on my old WM9 v1. So is a centered date wheel now a tell?
