  1. I know I'm going to get in trouble for this, but how good is NDT's white 16800 dial really? I keep looking at pictures of gens and the NDT and the coronet differences are not that huge at all. Even their 16800 COMEX dial looks decent. Price aside, does anyone else make this dial? E
  2. It is crazy the details that do not show to the naked eye when taking a picture with bad lighting I think I will just build a salty 16800 and call it good. E
  3. @Motosaft, The inserts are not bad. Could use a gen pearl swap if you have one and then you'll be dead on.
  4. I just saw this post. I was going to mention the tension spring. It is there for a reason. To move the bezel around simply rotate it counter clockwise. To lock it in press it down. You should be good. E
  5. Nice dial. Those hands look like the 6105 hands also. I may do a dial change on my 7002 for that one. Have you tried Yobokies?
  6. This is a kuvarsit v2 case and a used gen Pam strap. The dial is being changed now.
  7. Picking up boxes to move back to storage I found this piece I built a few months back. New Jackson 6152 case with solid back, molnija movement(put away the build because of the hands) Firenze Brevetatto 3 liner ghost dial and custom made strap by SergeD
  8. These guys are beyond hard core. If you haven't seen the change of guard in person, do it! I never get tired of how precise and how much pride they take in every move.
  9. I do have to say, the TC bracelets have that satin sheen that looks so delicious.
  10. I drink a lot of coffee. I will have to check the old hands I had also. I shortened the DW minute and hour hands equally and "toasted" the seconds sweep to match my dial. E
  11. T128 crystal
  12. There will always be purists
  13. Ordered planet wings and getting ready for work tomorrow. I don't think it's going to be that serious. Then again, I used to go surf with hurricane warnings. Westchrster county here
  14. A properly adjusted 2813 can e as reliable as any other movement. I ran a dg2813 for a year straight of daily use drying well within COSC specs. What I means by the SLSD comment is that the super lined dial and hands in an old SSD case is a killer combination.
  15. I do have to say, the SLSD dial and hands in an SSD v2 case is a lethal combination.
  16. I have a dial dilema. Do I use the gen 16800 white gold marker dial, or venture into the YG side with this other gen 16613 dial? My heart says 16800, but the other side of me says build something different.
  17. My attraction with the Rolex I hate to admit comes from my dad. His custom was always something that he bragged about. He was always a fan of Sean Connery and of course, I did research for my dad. I love the vintage pieces, but the subs in particular are my favorite. As a waterman I tend to lean towards five watches. Practical, useful tool watches will always be my favorite.
  18. Long live the 16800 sub then !
  19. I think that's what HE said lol
  20. Too funny
  21. I like the lugholes. What I like about the watch is how versatile it is and keeps its "cool" under all conditions. E
  22. Damn!
