  1. I've just bought a sample and I will post pics as soon as I have it in my hands. But then, I will ask you to act as a tester of the band since I don't have a PO. Better in Eu for a faster test... and even better if in Spain
  2. I could agree but I've read that the 20 mm. version does not fit correctly PO or SMP versions. The only thing that attracted my attention was that this band was tested in a genuine PO. I now a genuine Omega PO or SMP rubber band fits any of the reps, so a rep band fitting a genuine Omega should also fit rep. But any of you confirm that our dealer's bands fit a 20 mm PO version then this group buy would have no sense. And 80 USD I understand is a stating point for discussion set by the dealer
  3. I have contacted by chance with a guy that sells aftermarket rubber bands for Omega Seamaster & Planet Ocean 20 mm. I haven't seen them in person but he told me they are like genuine but the "Planet Ocean" wording is not engraved, only "Seamaster". The buckle has the Omega logo and he could source black color as well as orange. Price may be around 80 USD for an order of a minimum of 20. He also told me he tried these bands in a genuine Planet Ocean of his property and it fits perfectly. My question to all of you is if you may be interested acquiring one (or several) of these bands and which color. Depending of the interest I would buy one for my self and will make some of you to try it and then we could make a "Rubber Omega band Group Buy" Please post your opinion, no matter which one but if positive, leave clearly indicated number and colors. Probably I could make a deal for a better price. Obviously I have asked him for pictures that I will post as soon as I have them. The deal will be done just in case I prove the band is of the expected quality and fits the watch. EDITED: This offer is not intended as a dealer trade or whatever similar. I'm just trying to provide the community with something may benefit everybody (I've seen many people asking for these bads). I'm not looking for any benefit, but if mods understand this should be treated as a dealer offer then I will remove the group buy post.
  4. I hope so... I'm happy I ordered the racing versions before having to choose between so much offer...
  5. Namor, my friend... can't stop inventing Nice to hear from you...
  6. King's mail sent to slow learner... I'm sure King will manage this issue. Please keep us updated.
  7. You have to be very careful. Many watchmakers are no very experienced in working with mechanical movements or complex bracelets. Recently I won a bet with a watchmaker (mainly experienced replacing batteries in quartz watches) about the size of a crown of a datejust. A customer left a datejust (very old) which had installed (for whatever reason) a 5 mm tube and crown, for a model that had to have a 6 mm crown. He insisted the watch was like the original. And another watchmaker tried to remove a crystal from a 1680 rep without removing first the retainer ring. A disaster! So be careful my friend!!!
  8. I'm so happy... now just waiting for a review of SS bracelets when arrived... it is suppose they will be shipped tomorrow.
  9. But spending the same money Again we justify we must accept lies because this is an illegal business... com'n! most dealers selling in this forum perfectly know this demand from a long time a go. They also know the level of knowledge many people have here. What do you mean? because of language issues they advertise an Asian ETA like an ETA (swiss), or they claim for selling "solid gold"...? ha, ha They don't care (that's the real true) and many of us justify them (for whatever reason). I fully support demanding dealers for a honest and truly advertising policy in these forums... not so difficult (and if difficult is not our problem).
  10. Like posted in TRC: This has been discussed many times and always some one says: "We are dealing with "FAKE" illegal goods"... We all know, but then we are also dealing with "illegal dealers"... and when I say illegal dealers I'm talking about the level of confidence we can have in them. Watches are fakes, but my money is "gen" and they (specially within these forums) must be very clear and transparent with us. We also make a lot of things for them, trying to protect them from "crazy noobs", "paypal claiming maniacs", etc. We deserve they sell what they advertise. And they must (at least once) personally verify their watches and time to time check a lot of them again... my .2 cents.
  11. Huub: I'm so happy you're happy ... Lewt us know a bit more about your nice watch.
  12. Thanks to all of you for your nice words... I'm doing quite better now... I guess I'l be back home soon and I'll be more precise. Cheers,
  13. Sorry for being disconnected these days but I'm currently at the hospital facing some heart problems. I've got these two mails from King. tracking no.is eaxxxxxxxcn this is ems . and tracking no.is 8587 8123 xxxx is fedex ems web add www.ems.com.cn and fedex add: http://www.fedex.com/cn/ so thanks.and factory said tomorrow or after tomorrow will give me steel bracelet i can send out them. regards And the second one: hi,pl note the all friends.when change date pl let hour hand at 5clock.if at 10.9.8 or 12 change date.the movement 's screw will be broken:( i check all the watch two days.all is good I'll try to keep you updated but I don't know how things will go...
  14. Sorry to hear this. At least for me, as far as King sends me a replacement dial it's ok, but it is disappointing me.
  15. Nothing to lose... if you ave ETA movements ask him if he wouldn't mind touching ETA movements but in rep cases. I did something similar and it worked well.
  16. I have access to this movement which is a chrono mov. used in a Leonidas chrono. I don't have a clue if this is a good movement and could be used in some of the chrono reps or better to keep away. Any info is welcomed. Sorry for so bad pics but not very good camera, bad lighting and very fast session.
  17. Manufacturing, assembly, post-production quality controls... raw materials, how rep parts match when assembled. A rep is manufactured very fast, and those key parts for waterproofing are not so good quality (in most of them). Example: a crystal not correctly assembled it's a water entry point. Not having inside O ring in case tube facilitate water visiting your mechanism... etc. My MBW 16610 came without tube inner O ring (although it was 50 mtr. resistant). Now it is near 100 mtr. after: inner O ring added, genuine crown and tube, crystal pressed. Maybe this can give you a clue.
  18. Not always... my 16610 MBW Sub did not have internal O ring in tube. I had to add it. Ans I wand if all reps carry this internal O ring.
  19. How is it running Olga? I can't wait fot mine
  20. Good to hear! I have a watchmaker friend of mine who as a favor sometimes works on ETA's but never tried an Asian and I must convince him to check this 7750 as soon as I have it.
  21. I would like to acknowledge all participants in the Tag Heuer Carrera Chrono Group Buy their support to make this an trouble less transaction. Everybody paid on time, there were so respectful relationship that it worth the effort to coordinate it and give me back much more than I expected, specially because I think I've made more friends than I had before. Thanks all of you for making this exercise an enjoyment for me. Regarding King, I only can say that honestly I didn't expect so much help and collaboration from her side. Surely 18 buying orders are nothing special for any of our dealers and she took this like she was receiving a hundred. Having avoided drop shipment to ensure we receive our watches in safe conditions says a lot about her. I wish all of receive our watches in "health" conditions and we enjoy them. This is my first time buying an Asian 7750 and I'm curious about the way thy work. Thanks to all of you and see you in a next Group Buy (but now it's one of you to take the lead)!
  22. Thanks for shearing! I would like to know if it worth the extra money buying the high level model...
  23. Datewheels for Rolex caliber 3135 have numeral direction in the same direction than ETA's ones. Opposite direction for 3035 and older movements.
  24. You'll have it!
